| Okay, well now I've actually watched Episode 1 of the OVA and compared it to the manga. I think that the word "butcher" is a bit too harsh. However, I think that the director of the OVA did a poor job of telling the story. My interest level started to decrease fairly soon. The story in the manga looks like something that should be easy to adapt into an anime, so I don't understand why the director didn't find it to be an easy task to do well. The director is Masato Jinbo (神保昌登). Here is a list of all of the stuff that he has done, in Japanese: http://www7.atwiki.jp/anime_wiki/pages/579.html Here is another list: http://www19.atwiki.jp/enshutsu/pages/355.html What I notice is that 神保昌登 has a huge amount of experience, going back many years as an episode director. In another words, he would be assigned to direct a certain episode of an anime series. However, as far as I can see, he has never been the director in charge of a series as a whole. With brand-new directors, it is often the case that they do a poor job for the first several episodes. So I encourage people to stick with this in case it gets better. |

| Both were OVAs people, how the hell would they adapt 100+ chapters in just a few OVAs? Of course Nozoki Ana was butchered and Nozo x Kimi will probably be the same. |
| Butchering confirmed. Not that I expected anything different but I think that this was clearly worse than the Nozoki Ana OVA (if that was even possible). |
