Still, I wonder why she's a threat. This episode has caught my interest more than some of the others so far: good character development and an interesting plot twist. |

| Did Shannon who perceives everything and is always on the lookout for danger not notice a hole in the road? Smells like plot convenience. It's not like he appeared out of shape or tired in that scene. And did he not claim in the last episode that he would willingly fight god, he wished for the power to do so, to keep his little sister safe? But now he completely dismisses her for another abandoned little girl, which I can only assume reminds him of Pacifica. It's overbearing, I get it, they are ignoring Pacifica and she is jealous, I got it early on and that was the majority of the episode. I did however like the characterization this episode brought to Pacifica. She can be selfless and take action when she must, but this episode showed another side. She can be an incredibly selfish, jealous and overemotional person, especially when her brother Shannon is the reason. Even upon realizing that Cin is a good kid(in her own words), she still cannot deal with her emotions and acts like a child. We've seen the good side and the bad side of Pacifica, it's really nice. For the record, I'm confident that Zephiris would of killed Cin if she could, and that Shannon would deny it, so that is why she gave Pacifica the blade instead. Not sure why they wouldn't give it to Raquel, the only character that's shown the capability to kill, at least in threats with Silencer(bug guy if I got his name wrong). And lastly, I find the mission Chris is on very confusing. I have to assume the woman he served under both sent him to kill the scrapped princess, but now has him investigating the validity of the claim. I suppose this could be false. I also assumed if religion reigned over all as the ultimate authority, which it seems to be(even the prince has information kept from him), that questioning the priest/purger in the way he did would be counted as heresy. So, I'm looking forward to come clearance on this. |
| Interesting episode, looks like some plot gears starting to turn: - New character in Cin and her addition to the party, leading to Pacifica getting pouty at the lack of attention to herself. - Zefiris asking Pacifica to kill Cin (!), no reasons given why yet. - Meanwhile, we have Chris meeting the cardinal revealing the prophecy may not be as it seems and even the cardinal (privately) admitting whether 'god' is god after all. Be interesting to see where this goes from here. :) |
