I didn't read any of the posts on this thread not to be spoiled. I'm a huge LB!'s VN fan but I never got to play the EX version (still waiting for it to be translated). Like many of others, I had issues with the LB! anime but still enjoyed it a lot.
So, now that Refrain Subs released the final episode of Saya's route, I plan to watch the whole thing like tonight. I heard so many good things about it, some people even considering it as on par with the Refrain arc and I wanted to know how the adaptation is. I sure can't compare it with anything since I haven't read the original material, but is it faithfull anyway ? Is there a lot of content removed besides the H-scenes (I won't be sad for these) ? To sum up : is it good ?
No.
And those fans on 2ch are complaining about how poorly the anime sales are and how the ticket for the upcoming event doesn't seem to sell at all so the anime failure isn't only destroy my hope but also my 2 years dream for a newly written story for Saya.

It was good enough for me. Adaptation wise, it was handled similar to how the heroine/Refrain route was - a good amount of scenes were shuffled, omitted or significantly shortened. It's not entirely faithful but I thought it was good enough considering the episodes they had to work with.
Well, I just finished it and I have to say I'm really disappointed. Dunno if this is an issue with the adaptation or the original material though. What I know for sure is that four episodes are rushed as hell, Riki and Aya's realtionship seems to get out from nowhere. The first three episodes bored me more than anything in the whole show, Riki turned into a perv sometimes, the "funny" part, well, wasn't funny and putting all the cast aside made the whole thing swallow. At the end, Aya told she loved the time spent with everyone but she never got to met them in the anime...
Speaking of the end, woah, that was a huge twist. I really loved that part. But if I understand correctly, once she left the artificial world, she used key magic to go back in time, the accident never happened and in the very last scene she's in highschool with Riki in the real world ? Meh, people said Maeda actually had the balls he hadn't in Refrain during this route.

It's the adaption's fault.
Ol-Hybrius said: What I know for sure is that four episodes are rushed as hell
Yes,and now we have the 2 episodes arcs abomination next.
Ol-Hybrius said: The first three episodes bored me more than anything in the whole show
Pretty sure it still better than like half of the 1st season.

That's the point of Saya's arc but ofc the anime completely failed to explain it.

If you take Saya's random cameo in the 1st season and OVA into consideration,it pointed out that she has always secretly looked over them playing from the side way but ofc again the anime failed to properly explain that.

I really think people should stop believing Kyousuke's lie.

Maeda already rid himself of any responsibility for the anime when he said he had little to do with it like 2 days after they announced the 1st season.Smart guy.
Was Aya more involved with the team in the VN ? I mean, did Riki recruited her for the baseball match or something ?
I really enjoyed first season more than those OVAs, at least more than 2 and 3, but maybe that's just me.
And about, Kyousuke's lie, well, I don't know if he's speaking the true or not, but we do see Aya waking up in a bed afterwards and meeting Riki again, so...

She never directly involved with them but she did join them in baseball practice in the form of barrel and sniper gun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrIyue5R1cw
And like I said she has always watch over them secretly, now imagining she did that for 99 loops, it was natural if she felt like she know them for a long time and she also probably watched Riki doing other heroine's routes as well given how she said her route is a bad end.

I would probably also believe it was time travel too if Kyousuke didn't say it was time travel so to me that could be anything but time travel.
I have always been on the "she's in her own dream world" side.Though I saw some Japanese fans speculated that last part was something Kyousuke showed to Saya before she really leave the dream world to make Saya feel like her time travel wish is fulfilled(which could also might explained his time travel lies to Riki) and can now rest in peace,I like this theory too.
It's a shame they rushed it and didn't include Rin's reaction when Riki told her he and Kyousuke are dating.I thought that would sound like dream come true for some people...

B7F:
-No need for map, just die by the laser trap for about 4-5 times until you get a notice about Ecstasy mode, the notice is pink so you can't miss it...
-Now go 8 like normal -> die and replay.
-Choose 考える -> go 5 -> die and replay.
B8F:
-Go to lowest right of the map to fight the boss.
-You can't even aim him at first but after taking damage for awhile Saya will activate Ecstasy mode, from then you can now aim and shoot him,do that for a while and he will be defeated.
-Now enjoy School revolution ending, you facking masochist.
Note:
*Shooting mini game must be turn on during Saya's replay.
*Dying in those shooting mini game won't affect anything so don't worry.
*Even with Ecstasy mode,Saya can still lose to the boss Kyousuke so be careful and make a save b4 the fight. If she lost,Saya's route will just continue like normal.
*If you didn't get any notice even after dying for like a dozen times by laser trap then that mean you must have missed a step in this walkthrough, shame on you.
*My replay count is 42.....lol just saying.
sanata50lbsb said: so how is it going so far compared to the VN? did they change/remove anything?
As typical as the rest of the LB! adaptation.
Riki reminisces his time in the dream world - the world of regrets in the beginning of the vn. It's not quite obvious but Sasami's route takes place in October...
The dream sequence (the thing Riki sees) doesn't happen this early into the route.
The girl's scenes with Sasami are shortened/omitted, but they adapted the main point well.
The next episode's going to be rushed or lack a lot of scenes since I'd say they adapted 1/3 of her route in 1 episode.
I bet 100 cookies Kick the can is gonna be in the next ep (and probably MS too) :V
Kanata's arc is taking all the nice stuffs that's still left behind.
I enjoyed the last arc, it was paced decently well considering the time allotted. It is helped quite a bit by having pre-established a lot of of Kanata's character. Plus kick the can happened!
