To me it looks like Mitsu is going to be brainwashed by Arthur. If he blames Nobu cause of Ichi's death, then my opinion of him will take a nose dive seriously. I think Brutus was a wasted character in this series if he wasn't gonna at least somewhat betray Caesar. They should have just had Octavius take his place. At least then it actually would make sense for him to betray king Arthur and aid Nobunaga. |

Yeah, it does look like Saru is mad at Mitsu. Hm, maybe so. If Mitsu does blame Nobu, he's more brain dead than brainwashed Caesar. Yeah, Nobu noticed right away, and indeed Nobu was. That was really one of his best moments. LOL, yeah, Mitsu stood no chance. XD Mitsu needs to get over a lot of things so I don't see him getting over this... That's what I was thinking. I do believe Brutus will kill Cesare, I can't see Alexander doing it (well, didn't expect the twins...). I kinda see Brutus pretending to be loyal to Cesare and then stabbing him. I hope so anyways as I want Cesare to get a taste of his own medicine. I see Mitsu being brainwashed too. And I think it'll happen this next ep with how they were showing Arthur. |

Wow this anime is crazy, caesar got all those plot armor in ep 11 and died before the climax, i was shocked, but it was an honorable death i guess and he was happy... RIP caesar |

Because When Ichihime went to see him, she wanted to know his feelings (because she had fallen for him) and when he started BS-ing and preaching about his equal love (notice how angry she looked when he said he would love her and everything else equally) and arthurs so called new world, she was clearly hurt by this (she even asked if loving equally is true love) because that would mean to him she would be the same as everything else (he was even saying to mitsu he can share her LOL), so she was heartbroken when she thought 'the caesar i knew no longer exists' But when he let slip that 'who will protect you' line she was surprised, and then when he said he had no choice but to believe arthurs idea because thats the only way to save her, she realized that he still hadnt lost himself completely, that his love for her remained true, and that he is doing all this equal love BS only because of one reason- he believed ( brainwashed to believe) that it was all to protect her, which was confirmed later on when he said he loves her from his heart (hell, Nobu even called him out on it (so much for equal love)) Caesar never believed in that stupid world of equal love even while in his brainwashed state- he was only made to believe it because he thought it was the one way to save her, but he never intended to really love everyone equally, his love was only for her the entire time Thats probably why she called him a fool |

I wish he could have gotten a glimpse into his mind to see WTF he was thinking lol... He just wasn't all there as you can see when even the twins manipulate him to destroy the castle. That sharing Ichi line gets me everytime. I seriously wonder if she was that against it lol... BTW I saw that you got banned on animesuki. Hope you still continue to post there. |

She slapped him soon after so i cant imagine she was thrilled by the idea, Mitsu though seemed like he was considering caesars idea for an equal love world for a moment LOL I got banned for a day for apparently being rude in one of my posts, but tbh i was never going to post as much now that OTP is dead anyway unless someone brings it up ,and i usually only use animesuki to find light novel spoilers/summaries,and though im curious about how the anime ends, the remaining subplots (saru/himiko, mitsu betrayal, kenshin , ) doesnt interest me nearly as much... i only made the acc to ship and now the ship has sailed and sunk, so yea |

Yeah, the only way Caesar believed that was because of his belief it will save Ichi. He didn't care who will die as long as she was saved. She was pretty much his whole world, so I don't understand that "Aphrodite of my Soul" thing. XD Though I went back to ep 2 today and Da Vinci called Ichihime Aphrodite incarnate. So maybe Caesar was thinking of Ichi there? Haha, Mitsu was obviously considering the idea as he knew that would be his main shot with Ichi. LOL He's in denial, but he knew since ep 18 where her heart lies. BTW, I've been looking for what Bianchi and Nel could have been based off of and I got nothing. Do you know where they come from or are they just made up? |

Hmm... I got the feeling that she slapped him because he was trying to get mitsu to betray her dear aniue. The "Aphrodite of my Soul" had me lose a little respect for him. I thought Ichi was your Aphrodite Caesar? As for the twins didn't Nobu call them imps or something. |

Well, I have doubts that Caesar was truly thinking of Arthur's Aphrodite face with him so desperate to save Ichi. Or when he saw her his Aphrodite switched to her and she totally replaced Arthur's Aphrodite face. XD Yeah, Nobu called them imps, but I can't find any Nell or Bianchi in history/mythology and I was just curious about their origins. They seriously can't be the only made-up charas, right? |

Well he wasnt really asking him to betray nobu, he was trying to convince mitsu about his beliefs of an equal love world, and telling him to convince nobu in turn, its not a betrayal if mitsu is truly convinced Either way, when caesar told mitsu to convince her bro about his plan, it was basically the final straw for her, she was obviously growing increasingly appalled by his changes, and that just made her snap Funnily enough, her slapping him and crying when she thought the caesar she knew was gone, gave away that shes in love with the 'caesar that she knew' so actually i was happy she reacted that way, it brought out her true feelings, if it wasnt obvious already since the start of the ep Oh, caesar... he was only with her for one episode and he more or less stole her heart in that ep (ep 14), i rewatched ep 13 and she seemed so sad to leave Mitsu, but i guess she just didnt know how lucky she was to be going to him lol Well i lost some respect for him too initially, but then next ep we found out his heart remained loyal to ichi, the aphrodite thing was more like worshipping a godlike figure like alexander, they were just misdirecting us |

XD Honestly, Jeanne is mostly a walking plot device with a pair of boobs and fanservice material... Now that i think about it, i can see why Ichi was so upset at caesars change... In ep 14 he was the definition of prince charming (if you dont look at his past), he was gentle and kind to her and she then asked him to choose between her or his king, and he chose her So for her to develop feelings for him only for him to come back seemingly having gone back on his word by going 'AAAAh king arthur is wonderffuuuuul he can create a world where i can LOVE everything and everyone equally i am now his instrument to achieve his desires!' must have been a shock to her.. All in all i think she doesnt want to have anymore regrets, she clearly regretted what happened with mitsu, and now she has fallen in love with another person, she had to go after him properly, even if it meant risking her life But Mitsu ofc couldnt respect that and blamed nobu instead... what a guy, he event went to the side that obviously ordered caesar (and her) murder |

That's all she is. She does not deserve her name at all. Yeah, that's a good reason to be so upset. Very shocking indeed, especially since she wasn't privy to Arthur's spell powers. Mitsu, Mitsu, Mitsu... Seriously when he was with Cesare I was like... Yeah, way to go there, buddy, getting friendly with the murderer... I can feel your love for Ichihime, it's overwhelming... not. I was hoping Ichi would go up to him and confess her feelings to him like the character song implies. Then again character songs are more like semi-canon material aren't they? Jeanne is there for occasional plot and fanservice. That ep 19 scene. Mitsu is honestly the character with the most development and still ends up not making any sense. |

Chara songs are meant to give us an insight into a characters personality and feelings, so its canon, but of course song being songs, theres alot of metaphors and stuff, but in this case, its quite obvious and it fits into the story we have seen (Jeannes song also talks about her devotion to nobunaga) Well, the line in the song said 'i will wait for your return to tell' , the song was released just after episode 18, songs are usually released at strategic dates to promote discussion and speculation, incidentally ep 18 was the ep mitsu reunited with ichi only for her to show her feelings for caesar for the first time, and clearly worrying about him, her worries are clearly referring to a singular person, which at that point can only be caesar (hes the only one who was missing and she was shown clearly worrying about him) So the song more or less reflects her state of mind just after ep 18, which is basically that she is worried about him, knows she has fallen for him, and is waiting for his return (she doesnt know he would return all crazy after all, if he returned normally im sure she would have told him) And just to confirm, it was also obvious she was in love with him by the start of episode 21, and by how happy she was to see the 'old caesar' at the end, her eyes were shaking and her voice was trembling with emotion there... And the mood at the end before the damn twins interfered was really good.... im still pissed they couldnt wait at least 1 more minute for them to kiss passionately and mitsu to watch it |

Speaking of songs do you know what she was saying in ep 17 when she's looking up at the star of the west. I know the song is called voice of a drop and is on the OST, I'm guessing it was meant for both Mitsu and Caesar. |

I have no idea, the song is part of the OST 1, and if you can find the lyrics, i can translate it.. one guy in the other forum mentioned how in ep 21, Mitsus behavior to Ichi was kinda stalkersih, and he has a point... I mean he clearly has his ninja girls spying and reporting to him on her activities, and when she decided to meet with her husband privately, he followed her and came between them without knowing their conversation (caesar even had to jump out of the way), i mean this is clearly quite obsessive (not to mention rude) and then he immediately said 'We are returning right away with her' without asking her opinion... i mean its like he thinks he has a right to control how she lives her life.... Gosh i have a feeling the reason Ichi likes mitsu is that he has been secretly getting rid/chasing away any man who dared to court her... And i thought my opinion of him couldnt get any lower... (Ive said this many times, i just keep finding more and more reasons to dislike him...) |

Yeah... His brains... What brains? Supposed to is right as he doesn't have any. At this point I think even Jeanne is smarter than him. Exactly! He did NOTHING! Nobu and Caesar did everything. Nobu freed Caesar (and tried to warn them) and Caesar killed Nell. Seriously Mitsu a dying man did more than you! Yeah, he was too busy wallowing in his own angst. He blames everyone, but himself. LOL, yeah! Cesare did that! Mitsu, I thought your love for your daddy was great and yet you team up with the one that insulted him? You are brain dead.... Yeah, I believe if Caesar hadn't returned all crazy, Ichi would have confessed her feelings. Heck, I think she would have soon enough if the imps hadn't killed them. LOL, Mitsu is like a stalker! Yeah, he's obviously spying on her with those 3. How Mitsu just came between them like that bugged me and how he said they were returning... And all this time we've been saying Caesar was stalkerish and all he did was spy her when he was staking out the place for other reasons. Mitsu's the true stalker! You know, I can SO picture Mitsu secretly getting rid of them. She's the beauty of the Easter Star, she would of course have a lot of suitors. I'm sure he wanted to snipe Caesar, but couldn't get away with it. In fact he might had gone into enemy territory earlier to do it if he knew he wanted Ichi. Dat face when Caesar asked for Ichi says it all! I know what you mean... Mitsu just gets worse. |

Spent a while trying to find those lyrics no luck unfortunately. You know I was really unimpressed with how they made arthura look like. I mean she was cute but not more beautiful then Ichi. Thats kind of why I was disappointed in Caesar. I can totally see Mitsu do that lol... I think Mitsu was just worried for her safety when he got between them and was trying to get out of there. Seriously what happened to the western army that was only a few feet away from them? I so have a feeling that they were gonna tell each other their feelings. In the end those two were just plot devices for Mitsu's betrayal. |

Yeah, he definitely can't snipe Caesar, but you know he wanted to. Mitsu wasn't exactly thrilled Caesar came out and helped them. And if he hadn't Nobu would be dead. Yeah, Caesar knew her feelings as he knows women well. LOL If it's obvious to us it's definitely obvious to him. XD Caesar indeed was. I agree, he knew she would. Haha, I have that problem in series at times... where one chara is supposed to be more beautiful, I think the other is. XD They um... disappeared... Yeah, what did happen to them? XD You know they might have told each other their feelings if they weren't running out of time with the ep... And that's the main problem I have with their deaths. You could have had Mitsu betray Nobu for other reasons (and would have made more sense). It feels like they killed them off to be the most dramatic. |

I'm still a little surprised that this pairing actually became canon. Episode 17 when Caesar said that line of only he can make Ichi smile. I had to facepalm myself after that lol... Guys that say that usually end up being the losers. Then the character song came out with everyone debating the lyrics really had me worry for the ship. Not to mention as I said before the stage play. I'm hoping the manga follows the anime so that we can see more Caesar/Ichi scenes, but it's barely on Ch 4 where Himiko first appears. BTW are they planning on releasing a blu ray/dvd for the play? |

Haha, I know what you mean. I am a little surprised too when looking at it objectively in relation to other series. Caesar had all the makings of the one who will lose the girl. Even in the same ep you have Himiko spurring Jeanne on too and we know she will be the loser. Caesar just knows how to turn things on its head, which he has done throughout the whole series. XD |

When caesar took her hand and brought his face closer to her, he must already know their feelings are mutual, otherwise he wouldnt have done that, and sure enough she did the exact same thing as him.. (grasped his hand and brought her face closer).. I mean those two were... they were in enemy territory and there was so many people watching.. but they still.. they were both clearly lusting for each other lol.. Mitsu really is lucky they died, or when they got back home it will be xxx and xxx the entire night, and he will have to hear the ninja girls report about it LOL Play is Live with actors and stuff like a drama, so no, probably no blu ray...only one performance too for each part Well beauty is subjective in anime, besides to me rather than looks its more like her tears and 'cute' gesture of wiping her tears with his hands that got caesar.. even then his heart was still with ichi though.. Worrying for he safety doesnt mean he should interfere in her love/private life does it? and then decide everything for her... IDK i mean only Ichi can die, and mitsu would still go crazy (like in the play) well... guys who usually stalked the girl, desires to possess her, kills her father, destroys a big part of her home, and more or less forces her into a marriage usually doesnt have a chance do they? But yeah that was a surprise, until ep 14, i never thought caesar ichi had a chance, and i didnt like caesar but after 14 he was more or less my only reason to continue watching.. You know what, in ep 17 i think caesar wasnt spurring mitsu on or anything, he meant everything he said, he tore into mitsus character and personality with brutal accuracy, after knowing all that and how inferior he is, i doubt he would ever let him have her after knowing his faults.. that said i dont think caesar was expecting to make it back to the east.. he was expecting a heavy punishment (or even death) idk, but watching 17 is even more satisfying now.. What is pitiful to me is that, despite caesars criticisms, instead of using it as a motivation to change or whatever, Mitsus character and personality degenerated worse and worse, no wonder ichi forgot about him lol i doubt the manga will ever be finished, it will be like one of those adaptations of animes that probably would never be finished, i mean nobody has bothered to translate it to english so yea |

Exactly. Yeah, that what amazed me. In enemy territory with so many people watching and still. It was like they forgot where they were. LOL Mitsu is very lucky. I can't imagine his face with the ninja girls reporting. LOL You know Arthur had to do more to get Caesar than he did with Alexander or Mitsu. It wasn't an immediate brainwashing like the others. That is true, Mitsu would with only her. In fact he didn't think of Caesar at all. Only Alexander brought up Caesar really. In fiction yeah, they don't (in real life though, in the past, it happened.... Rollo, the 1st Duke of Normandy, invaded a place, conquered it, killed the ruler (he killed a bunch actually), married the daughter, and they apparently had a good marriage. Though with him the rulers he killed were so corrupt and all the peasants were on his side, they even helped fight. LOL) Haha, I liked Caesar since ep 2 and shipped Caesar/Ichi since ep 5. XD Same here, he was my only reason too. Well, I don't think Caesar was spurring Mitsu on, but it usually works that way. Exactly, I doubt Caesar would have let him too. Yeah, probably Caesar thought he wouldn't make it back. Haha, it is... LOL, Mitsu did get worse and worse. XD No wonder indeed. LOL |

Seriously they couldn't have waited until they were in Oda lands to do that? That scene where they held each others hands was probably my most favorite of the episode along with the crawling Ichihime. It sucks that he probably was expecting do die or something. That's why he was all "I wished to see you again". When ichi said she was happy she chose her own path was she referring going out there and seeing Caesar? They could have at least done a better job with that final goodbye. |

They could have at least done a better job with that final goodbye. Ichi was overjoyed to see the real caesar again and caesar goes without saying.. they probably forgot about the surroundings and only thought of each other at that moment.. it was one of those 'star crossed lovers finally reunited' kind of scene I think she meant that she lived her entire life making her own decisions and choosing her own path, from marrying caesar and then falling in love with him, nobody told her or forced her to, but remember in ep 9 she talked about how she wasnt happy in her life, and in the end of the day, when she said she was happy, she could only be referring to having found true love/happiness with him The final goodbye was too short, but she obviously knows how much he loves her and he even calls her 'the one i love' in his final words, he also knows she returns her feelings before the end, so it was OK i guess, but its true that i wanted to see more proper caesar x ichi scenes... I hope they make doujins of it BTW Nobu seems to want to watch what happens next between them, lol , and he doesnt seem to mind, considering how protective and fond he is of his sister, and how much he hated caesar after he killed his father (I WILL DEFINITELY NEVER FORGIVE HIM) it just shows how much caesar is redeemed i guess, he was also initially happy to see him in ep 20 |

Well like you said, caesar/ichi death was plot driven mostly, i guess ichis death would put mitsu on his betrayal path, and they need to wrap up the caesar/ichi romantic subplot to free up time in the last episodes for saru/himiko lol... I always said caesar would die before ichi though, since once she dies, caesars character would lose all of his motivation/purpose since ever since ep 14 his character is more or less that of a lovesick guy... btw another thing crossed my mind... cesare told mitsu 'i believe her death came shortly after jeannes prophecy of nobunaga being destroyer king' UMMMM doesnt he find this suspicious?? how would cesare know about jeanne's prophecy? unless arthur was the one who made her see it?? Not to mention arthur is clearly the one who ordered caesar (and ichis) assasination, but mitsu still want to see arthur? /facepalm BTW i wonder if ichi has seen caesar without the mask? http://littlecloudcuriosity.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/nobunaga-the-fool-episode-21-33.jpg?w=1044 Damn he looks quite... innocent, maybe he wears it to project a bad boy image lol |

Indeed, Cesare couldn't have known otherwise. Haha, if Mitsu wants to avenge her death, he's going about it beautifully by going to her murderer.... XD I think Ichi might have as he probably sleeps with it off, but still can't be sure. He does look innocent and younger looking without it. LOL He must as it's the bad boy image that's popular. XD |

I wanted them to build up Caesar's change and have him feel more conflicted then just that scene in ep 14. A scene where Ichihime questions him like "WTF are you gonna do now that you have me" lol... I'm curious what the Takeda and the neighboring warlord's thought of the marriage alliance. BTW Caesar without mask>every other male. The man is gorgeous! |

Oh, me too! Haha, yeah, I wanted to see more scenes of when she goes there and ofcourse questioning him like that. I can so picture her saying that as all Caesar got from the deal is her. LOL Seriously expected more. Yeah! What did they think of that? Surely they must have reacted and I can't imagine all being happy with it. Yeah, the neighbors, but especially Kenshin's thoughts. It was like Caesar/Ichi marriage + alliance was just a private affair. XD Haha, that he is. I always thought he was the best looking, but man without that mask he had like perfect beauty. LOL |

You guys are fangirling hard lol... that said i cant say that his looks WASNT one of the factors in her change of heart... That said, remember that flashback when she just asked him to choose b/w her and arthur and he just smiled half-exesperatedly, they didnt show his proper answer/ her reaction to it, im curious but i think she was surprised at how quickly he made his choice, and she might also have been testing him a little... i mean last night he clearly seemed like a nice charming guy, but its only the next day that she was able to see whether he is an honorable man or not (Note that he never promised to turn against arthur, just leave the oda clans in peace and protect against external threats, which i assume exclude his own buddies), also im sure going back to the west to rescue jeanne isnt part of 'protecting against external threats' him tagging alot is actually doing more than hes supposed to, not to mention rescuing mitsus life... (he probably doesnt want her to be sad, its ironic because she clearly knows caesar tried to rescue mitsu and didnt come back because of that, and this is probably what made her certain he is a genuinely kind person who loves her selflessly and this is what probably shifted her feelings properly towards caesar) Um, in the start of ep 14, she was clearly getting ready to take off her robes/clothes, i think she thinks he just wants to possess her and have his way with her, so she was probably surprised he proves to have genuine feelings for her and tries so hard to make her happy... in ep 18 she also defended him by saying 'he is not an evil man' so at the start im sure she thinks he was an evil and cruel man with a lust for women And kenshin probably knows and is cool with it... remember that radio convo when kenshin and caesar talked about the west invading, eventually caesar must have asked kenshin to come tag along and fight against his western buddies, i cant imagine him not asking caesar the reason for his change of mind and talking about it on the way there, its not like kenshin and oda are the best of buddies, and kenshin was so against helping caesar out before |

Well, what can I say. XD Yeah, and I wished they did. She had to have been surprised, no doubt. (Yeah, there's like a bunch of clans just heard about and not shown.) Seriously Caesar didn't need to go with them, but he did (I agree). Yup, that was her first impression of him, but it sure changed. I winder why Kenshin is cool with it... Oh, I forgot about that! XD Caesar must have asked him. I would have loved to have seen Caesar and Kenshin talk along the way there. LOL Indeed. |

Yeah, I'm still pissed he went with them to rescue Jeanne. It was obviously done to separate them and have Caesar meet Arthur to brainwash him. It must have been awkward for Ichi knowing the three ninjas are right outside that door the entire night lol... I also noticed how Ichi was included in the "peace talks" in ep 21 even though she really has no business there. I guess she wanted to be with her husband lol... Notice how she's the closest sitting next to Caesar. I was disappointed that they didn't have a reunion scene though. |

This show often conveniently skips things but made it clear it happened.. for example in ep 18 when mitsu rescued ichi she knew caesar was with him (and presumably that caesar was left behind becaus he tried to save mitsu) but they didnt show us who told her or how she knew Well she was clearly worried for him in ep 18, and all of a sudden hes back on the enemy side, i guess she was anxious to find out whats going on with him.. Well their reunion scene happened properly in the end of ep 21, for about 10 seconds... sigh It would be awkward if he just met her normally though.. like hi? or something.. i was hoping caesar would make a heroic entrance saving her or something as a reunion but whatever right? During the 'peace talks' he didnt say anything to her though, and they just stared at each other for awhile and she was clearly about to cry.. i wonder what she was thinking at the time |

Yeah, Caesar going with them was clearly plot driven. This series will ignore a person's character for plot. Look at how Jeanne is... She goes back and forth whenever they want. Yeah, it does skip scenes and I think it would be better if it was slowed down. But with 24 eps I guess they got to cram it. Yeah, 10 seconds... >.> I so wanted Caesar making a heroic re-entrance, but yeah, whatever. And it was sweet to see how Caesar is only thinking of Ichi when brainwashed. I can't help, but wonder too. But she was probably wondering what was going on with him. She wasn't happy with how he was for sure. |

I wonder if the anime makers regret offing caesar so early, most forums and discussions died down since caesar died, even the 2ch and japanes forums are quiet now, he was a big reason for people to watch the show lol |

Well he was kind of the wildcard. You never knew just what he would do. I think it's already gonna be done so the producers probably don't care. I like how they tweeted a picture of Caesar saying something about him still being alive in the play and will fight more beautifully in act 3 lol... |

They probably do. Producers have changed things just because of a character being popular. Like they were supposed to die, but they ended up living and having a larger role. If it affects the number of viewers and sales then yeah, they will regret it. The bottom line is how much they make after all. I have a feeling him being alive in the play doesn't cut it for fans (as he's so different_, but that is funny. LOL |

I think caesars character development from the start was planned, they didnt change anything, just that having caesar alive for longer would probably retain more fans/viewers for a longer time, since alot of people (idk if they are fangirls or not) seem to find caesar the most interesting and enjoyable character (not necessary for romance), i mean even for guys he is definitely the most awesome and cool among the cast... (which guy wouldnt want to able to put down their love rival like he did in ep 17?) Personally one of his best moments for me was when he casually walked up behind hannibal and basically stole charlemange's catch phrase... like 'i wont let you escape, MON EMPRESS' that was an epic moment for me lol... i love caesars trolling abilities (he trolled nobu at the tea party, then hannibal and mitsu and cesare, he even sort of trolled ichi in ep 21 when he was talking about his equal love world) BTW I found this caesar x ichi fanfic online... https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10438144/1/Memories-of-Rose I find it very believeable for the most part, i actually take my hats off for the authors imagination |
