Should the Mean Score be Amended to 8.0 to permit new users to join?

Yes, but only a moderate increase to 7.5, instead of the 8.0 that is demonstrated.

There has been growing interest from other mal users to join the club, but they don't fit the current criteria to be accepted into the club. The specific criteria that these users aren't meeting is that their mean score is substantially above 7.0, usually in the 7.5-8.0 Since our club leader is not a tyrant that arbitrarily decides club policy, we're giving a voice to current club members via direct democracy.

If it means an increase in new members then I'm fine with changing it. I voted for an increase to around 7.5. An average score of 8 sounds pretty high, I would like for all of our members to at least be somewhat critical of what they are watching.
