| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hey, this actually was pretty good, hooray! Melody isn't BAD exactly, but the other two Suite Cures would've been better, Beat is blue and Muse has family issues as well. Pink Cure Bias, I guess. The episode itself was nice as said, poor Hime! The one issue is Hime gets scolded for wanting to go visit her mom and at the end she beats herself up for that when MEGUMI gave her the idea. Scold Megumi instead! Not a big deal and not much to complain otherwise, I liked their sneaking and their struggle to escape. Shame that while Megumi and Hime share colors when in the rollerskates Yuuko is all yellow and not yellow and purple, maybe they feared she'd look like Wario. As for the battle, well, two things here. So Lovely gets YET ANOTHER attack, Honey gets to use her badass finisher and Princess gets... her attack flicked away by Hosshiiwa. Who was this episode about again? Princess damn better get an awesome moment next ep because this is unfair. At least Lovely's new attack is awesome, it's freaking Breast Fire! Also TRIPLE MAP ATTACK, because Toei just didn't know how to pad the episode. Also, Blue is still a terrible character. First he said the girls couldn't use their Cure powers when in fact they could but would be just horribly weakened, and he said he couldn't help them when he meant he could but it'd take a while. You're the worst deity since Banjo the Clown. At least he had no qualms on letting the Cures go and he saved them I guess. Oh and preview looks good so no problems here. |
| Since my previous post on Happiness Charge sub-forum got deleted, I have decided to learn from my mistakes and be 100% objective in this post in an attempt to meat the impeccable standards that differentiates the MAL forums from competitors. I hope my quality analysis of this episode will add to the indisputably outstanding reputation which draws anime fans from around the globe to MAL. Looks like you're using terrible fansubs. I'm going by the RAWs so have no clue which sub you're on. But yes, he's a terrible character for letting them go even in the first place. So much is at stake, PreCures are dying left, right and centre and Blue now sends his closest 3 cures to a highly likely suicide mission? THAT, makes this instalment of HapCha another OBJECTIVELY terrible one. Toei seriously know nothing about logic, a problem which goes as far back as SailorMoon in the 90s (which incidentially is getting a remake because the original deviated so far from the manga) and Toei's lack of logic probably goes back even further than that. HapCha like most other PreCure shows are simply an insult to our intelligence. One must look no further than the top anime, FMA:B as a benchmark. A mainstream show meant for little children like PreCure. A show where the plot actually has depth, the worldbuilding excellent and immsersive and their "superpowers" actually interesting and fights which actually has strategy and complexity. Talking of "strategy", why didn't the cures just use roller skate form to run in the first place? It was already shown to be faster than the villains. Or why not Honey Teleport spam? The arsenal of attacks and abilities are plenty yet the characters remain as brainless as ever. They had every means to escape yet Toei resorted to Hollywood-esque (another mediocre medium, that) artificial thrill insertion. Also, why is it YuuYuu who takes the initiative and starts the wrapping of the cupcakes? The assertively leading, initiative-seeking and loving role is supposed to be exclusively for pink cures. Do I see another case of YELLOW CURE BIAS? It should have been YuuYuu who should have been scolded, lynched and quartered by Ribbon instead of Hime. Combined with the fact she gets the best transformation animation and we get to see yet another finisher by her. Actually, this whole episode saw the MAIN CHARACTER, the pink cure getting shafted. We should have been given the very terribly sad backstory of why Megumi's mom is physically weak/unwell as hinted in early episodes. This episode was a squandered opportunity to develop Megumi's character who is currently as one-dimensional and schizophrenic as ever. Even Suguha, much criticised in SAO for poor characterization got infinitely more development and proper screentime. 1/5, dropped. |

| The episode felt a little fast, but I still enjoyed it. The episode, was an alright idea. Hime hasn't seen her mom or dad in so long. So it was a nice idea, for her to go see them. Them getting to the Castle was cool, seeing as the couldn't use their powers to just beat up the monster and get there with no problem. The battle was nothing great, but it was kinda interesting to see the Cure's at a disadvantage. So over-all alight episode. Something I enjoyed about the episode was that, the Precures, used the ninja form. It's just funny to see them using that kind of power. Also, I enjoyed that the Cures had no advantage in this world. Now it kinda makes seances, why all the Cures of earth, just don't try and take back the Kingdom and fight them on their own grounds. It's nice to give the Cure's a disadvantage. I didn't like how, Doki Doki could go the the Trump Kingdom and they seem to be fine. So this is better. Some things I didn't like was, Hime didn't get a big role in this episode. She was helpful in a few part's, but overall she didn't do much. Was still cool to see her stand-up for her home. So that makes it up. Also YuuYuu didn't get to use her new cards. Well maybe next time. Next episode looks pretty good. As it looks like Phantom is going to come back. Also Miyo the reporter is going to have more involvement in this episode. I have also now released that is not Masuko from Yes Pretty Cure 5. I could not remember her name and I thought that was her. Anyone else mistake her to? So can't wait for the next episode. |

Yeah that's true, but Precure's never been good at being subtle about anything. So I thought shed use it to save the day, even if the power was weaken. But yeah it would have been lame for them to use it. I don't think Blue is evil. Yes we do see a Black version on Deep Mirror when we see him, but that could be something else. Maybe his evil half, or maybe an evil brother, or something else. Beside's if he was going to send them to their doom, why help them? He could have just done nothing and let them lose. Game over. Still only time well tell. |
| Some of the attack scenes had bad/funny animation. Like when they were running away from the enemies their heads looked huge :) |
| Great Episode :) Cure Melody!! I do agree that Blue is careless for letting the girls go in to the kingdom knowing the high risk of being captured and putting pikarigaoga in trouble. When they said they planned on sneaking, i was hoping it would be like Metal Gear Solid style of stealth :P And that terribad just won't let go off them despite camoflouaging in grass XD And Hime really does look like her mother, only in short hair ^^ Looks like Precure aren't even the level of the normal kindabads :O When Oresky said "Mudada!!" He really gave his Dio Brando voice!!! Tbh they could have captured the Precure if they took it seriously like what Phantom does. I hope to see the Precure to grow stronger as we get closer to the end!! Can't wait for the next episode!!! |
| The girls hiding from that Terribad made me laugh so much xD That was a nice episode, it was a risky move to go to Hime's kingdom, but that way we could see situation there and how terrifying things can end if they let the villains take control of the Earth. Not sure if it was just poorly explained but I thought that they wouldn't be able to transform there, but well, not much of a difference compared to what we saw: the girls can't even defeat Kindabads on places where the baddies rule, this is going to be difficult. |
