| Oh what the hey 1.Is their any other couple, unless you mean Eva and Aika then no, Eva and Jordan was the best(maybe Don Way and Eva's mom) 2.Jordan 3.There were no really weak characters, maybe the pirate captain 4.On a whim I watched the first episode on Toon Disney and loved it 5.It is really good plus the ending is awesome Now I have one for everyone else... Was Jordan colorblind, he had trouble spotting a simple red button one time and seemed to never respond to color. |

It made me cry :( I don't cry at the end of a lot of anime y'know. what is ur worst character? Lord Furter, manipulative little puke who can't win a race on his own, how did a Magikarp get in with the big leagues? how did you know oban star racers from? someone on a "what did you just buy?" thread praised it and said more people needed to check it out, so during a Black Friday, my friend and I went to Best Buy and refused to leave without buying some anime (so she could quickly deplete the fun she had made on the off chance that the Twilight movie was good, friggin' fangirl), she got like $100 worth of anime and I just got Oban Star-Racers parts 1 and 2 (hey, $16 per half is dirt cheap and I figured it was worth the risk). Seems I took a good risk, it was great! So it was a blind buy based on previous hearing of it being an underappreciated gem that turned out well (unlike some of my blind buys which turn out to be absolute garbage). why do you like OSR? I like the way it mixes an "of the week" race with character development and story progression. And the music is awesome (I do like Taku Iwasaaki a lot, even if he did copy and paste something from this soundtrack onto the TTGL one). who was the weirdest character? Paradice, giant cat TV face alien thing who controls the ship using a giant DDR pad? Yeah, that's what I would define as weird. |
| @OP you should change the title back to episode1 discussion or make a separated thread for your questions... As far as the first episode goes, quite nice start, an interesting setting, a bit of an unique art style and a decent pace! Lets see what this anime has to offer, the only thing that currently bothers me is that I didn't found a Japanese dub and require to watch it with English Dubs... |
