| "If I do make it you have to promise to be there with me then Jacob" she said looking at him with a cute face |

| He blushed slightly and nodded"yeah of course i will" |
| "Good I'm kinda excited about this now " April said raising her hand in determination |

| he chuckled "good" |
| "Lights out children" a voice said over the intercom as the lights dimmed and soon turned off "goodnight" |

| "Night April" he went over and jumped into a bed |
| She laid there and soon fell asleep. So began the first day of the of the first year of their training, the training consisted of the most grueling fitness exercises that they could pack into each day, at first everyone was having a tough time but after the first month it was clear to see the ones who could handle it and the ones who would fall behind. April was amoung the top performers, she always was training and working out as hard as she could |

| In that Year Jacob showed through his anger and pain that he had lived through from the Helghast invasion, he used that to his advantage to make himself stronger and faster, not as good as April but good to be noticed. |
| The second year consisted of different types of training sessions such as rock climbing, repelling, free running, and sky diving. During this year April started her day before everyone to make sure she still got in her exercises before the other training began for the day, April still stood above the pack never lacking in her abilities |

| Jacob showed Promise in sky diving and free running but nothing else, he was only really promising in those two areas |
| The third year began and just under an eighth of the kids had dropped out. This year consisted of being in water most of the time swimming, diving, and hyperthermia training in freezing water. Many kids started to fall behind because of illness. April still kept up her morning exercises and did well all the water training |

| Jacob tried his best to keep up with April but was nowhere near her level, illness had hit him but not as hard as they others and with his determination he kept on going, training harder and faster. |
| For the fourth year it was more relaxing than the others in a physical sense, the children were taught how to hike and live off the land when they needed too. With the more relaxed pace more of the children were able to catch their breath and regain their strength. Being stuck camping made April uncomfortable slowing her progess on some of the learning aspects, but she never minded the physical hiking and climbing. Whenever she could find some free time she continued to push herself doing exercises |

| Jacob relaxed for most of that year, taking the t ime to think about some things and his own little plans for the future |
| Next the fifth year came by teamwork training. Most of the children found this better just for the sole reason being able to be with the friends they had made. April did well in most aspects except when it came to a larger group of people she thought too many people was just a waste of time, the only time she would preform extraordinary is when she was paired up with Jacob for something |

| Jacob took a further liking to April over that year since of how they both stayed together during the training. if anything she was his idol, his reference to get better at anything and everything, he truly looked up at her. |
| During the sixth year it was back to more physical training, but it wasn't only fitness training but also the students were learning how to fight each other in hand to hand combat. Since April kept up her exercises it paid off in the end for her she had no problems moving about when it took the rest of the company a little while to get used to it again. She enjoyed learning how to fight and almost nobody could stand in her way |

| Jacob didnt do very well in the hand to hand combat, he couldnt really stand up to anyone there. yet again in April's wake. |
| The seventh year brought along a strange change for the students, this year had been decided as a espionage training. The kids were to learn how to sneak about and blend into their environment, another point the learned was information recovery in such ways as how to prioritize a search when looking through files. In this area April seemed to be lacking a bit she could do the basics but when it came to the more important detailed things she couldn't seem to wrap her head about it |

| This year Jacob showed his best, he was head of the platoon at stealth and espionage, the instructors said he was a natural destined for a great future in the resistance. |
| The eighth year brought about the uses of learning how use all the various vehicles they might come across in their travels. April seemed to have no problems driving a car around an obstacle course at high speeds, but she always stumbled a little when it came to flying something she thought there was too many buttons and things to worry about |

| Jacob shined as a pilot of transports and attack ships, able to fly like the most veteran pilots, showing his true spirit compared to the earlier years of training and strain. |
| The 9th year, only two more years after this one many of the students thought, during this year they were taught firearms training. They learned how to put together and disassemble weapons of all kinds and how to shoot them. Also during this time period the students quickly picked up the type of weapons they favored. April struggled at the longer range game having a tough time lying in wait and keeping still, she prefered the fast pace of cqc |

| Sniper rifles and Revolver type weapons were Jacobs favorites, he excelled at long range better then most of the students practicing with them. although as he grew older he set his sights on something else. or more like someone else. |
| The tenth year was most likely the toughest one on the students many a days were they walking back to the barracks with little or no spirit left. This was the year determined to weed out the weak from the rest, it was the year of torture. Students were subjected to various forms of torture to try and squeeze information out from them. Getting through this only hardened Aprils resolve to fight for the resistance, the only thing that remained from the training were the various bruises and cuts on and otherwise gorgeous looking young women |

| Jacob also kept his resilience through that year, being talked about highly through the higher ranks of the instructors, same with April, both were known quite well through their training and getting even known more as they kept going. One main scar stood out above the rest, a large cut across his eye, barely missing his eyeball keeping it intact, but the scar remained. |
| On the final year the students ran mock missions ranging from some that could take a few hours to some that lasted weeks. It was clear to see that the instructors were trying to find the best matches when it came to group sizes and who to partner who with. There was really only one pair that stood out above from the rest, and that was April and Jacob. The instructors were impressed by their teamwork, and how in sync the two were. Jacob took the lead and April would follow his commands without hesitation, the two were an unstoppable force that cleared even the most difficult missions with only the two of them |

| Jacob had only two motives as he fought through the missions him and April were given, one was to make sure that the Helghast bastards were going to be kicked off their planet, and second was April, to keep her safe and to make sure that him saving her years ago was put to good use. If he couldnt have a good life, he would make sure she would. |
| The day came for their graduation there was a larger number of people who had finished the camp then the general thought there would be. "Today is the day you become full fledged fighters on the front of a war like we've never seen, I'm proud when i look out into this crowd and see the amount of effort all of you have put fourth into this I am sure your generation shall lead us to victory." The general finished his speech and one by one the students were brought up onto the stage and awarded their rank and position based on how they preformed during the camp. |

| Jacob stood waiting for his turn to be judged, as long as he was with April it wouldnt really matter |
| April stood first between the two when she went up on the stage she was awarded for being in the top ten for best potential shown during the training camp |

| Jacob smiled and clapped for her as she was awarded |
| She took her seat once more and waited until it was Jacobs turn |
|
| Jacob went up next, he was awarded for his Long Range sniping and Piloting |
| April clapped and cheered him on and smiled as he came back |
|
| He smiles and sits back down next to her "Looks like we both got what we wanted haha" |
| "I'm just happy we both made it through together, to be honest I was a little worried when you got sick" she said while looking straight at him in a serious tone |

| "Nah it was fine, you know what im like, tough as nails me" |
| She laughed when he said that "haha that's a good one Jacob" |
|
| "What? its true right? hahaha" |
| The award ceremony ended and April didn't know what to do it where do go |
|
| "Time to head back to the barracks, we got a few days before we have to head to duty" |
| "Alright then lets go jacob" she walked with him back to the barracks |

| He smiled as they walked inside "Feels like yesterday we just got here" |
| "Hehe your right I can't believe how quick everything came to place" she said |
|
| "Yeah, we even got teamed up together" |
| "I'm happy about that Jacob I wouldn't want to be with anyone else" she said |

| "Yeah me either" he said blushing slightly "uh my eye looks okay dont it?" he said pointing at his scar |
| "Yeah you look fine Jacob it's a mark of your strength" she said |

| "Haha if you say so April" |
