| April noticed Jacob walking away, she pushed through the crowd and caught up to him "where are you going Jacob?" She asked as all the other kids went back to playing what they were from before "April come play with us!" One of the kids shouted |

| he turned to her "I just....didnt seem wanted....so.....im just gonna go sit away from everyone....you should stay.....have fun with them..." he turned and continued to walk again |
| She pulled on his arm "but it won't be as fun without you" she said after she stepped in front of him to stop him |

| "but...im not really fun to be around....really...." he looked to the side |
| "You are just come on" she dragged him back to the other children and they all began to play a game of baseball after following the children to an open field |

| Jacob was awkwardly dragged along, he didnt really say anything as he took a position |
| All the children played through the baseball game and surprisingly April did better than any of the other girls and even a few of the boys because of her tomboyish nature |

| "April you were amazing!" |
| "What? No I wasn't or anything...I was just tryin to keep up with you" she smiled |
|
| "Yeah you were! you were better then most of the kids!!" |
| "I was just playing how my father taught me how to play" she said rubbing the back of her head |
|
| "Well your still awesome! you were even better then me!" |
| "Well I was just happy to be able to play with everyone ya know Jacob" |

| "hehehe nah your too modest haha" his stomach rumbled loudly |
| She giggled after hearing his stomach growl "hehe lets go get something to eat" she said but then realized she had no idea on where to go |
|
| "yeah" he said blushing of embarrassment, he looks around "where..do we go?" |
| April ran back over to where all the other kids were and asked them where they could find some food, after she got an answer she walked back over to where he was "the other kids say that there is a bakery in town that hands out food to people who just arrived let's go find it" she said smiling |

| He nods smiling and began walking into town |
| As the two walked through the town a lot of the adults were noticed carrying weapons and guns "so Jacob do you know what they were talking about when the man said we're going to be a part of a training regiment soon?" She asked |

| "training us to be soldiers....to fight the helghast i think" |
| "Oh..." She looked a little sad "I hope we don't get separated" she mumbled |
|
| "what did you say?" he asks as he never heard her |
| She blushed slightly and said "I said I hope we don't get separated....while looking for the bakery...yeah that" she tried to play it off by laughing |

| "Oh okay" he nodded and looked on down the road |
| "Look over there" she said as she pointed towards a sign that read bakery. As they walked inside the store manager said "oh who are you two I don't believe I've seen you before" he said "were new arrivals mister" April blurted out "oh I see have you two come here for some food?" He clerk asked |

| Jacob nods "yeah we-.....im very hungry" |
| "Well then have some bread" he handed each of them a small roll of bread "thank you kindly sir" April said |
|
| "Thank you!" he began munching into his bread |
| "How is it?" April asked |
|
| "Ish good" he smiled at her as he ate |
| She broke hers in half and started to eat some of it "do you want some more?" She asked after she ate half |
|
| he shook his head "you need it" |
| "Weren't u really hungry tho? Just eat it I will be fine" she said, the store clerk chuckled at the sight if the two "boy it's not nice to refuse a girls gift" he said |
|
| "Okay" he took it but didnt eat it, he put it in his back pocket |
| "Alright now that we're done eating what should we do now?" She asked |
|
| "umm i dont know" he shrugs |
| "Let's just walk then" she said as she walked to the door then waited for him |
|
| "Yeah lets go" he ran to her |
| As they both starting walking together she asked "when do you think that training camp will begin?" |
|
| "I dunno, might be soon" |
| "Oh I see" she said "I hope we can get through it" |
|
| "I hope so too...i aint very strong" |
| "I'm sure if we stick together we can do it you just need to stay determined" she said with spirit |
|
| "Yeah....yeah! hehe" |
| "Ya" suddenly it seemed like everyone was off the streets and the two of them just now noticed "where where did all the people go?" |
|
| "I...dont know..." he looked around |
| Suddenly some people dragged them inside a house as the sound of ships flying over them and people were hiding trying not to make a sound. The man behind them was none other than the general blue who is mayor of the town "looks like we're gonna have to start the training program sooner" he said and April just turned and looked confused |

| Jacob was looking out the window at the ships passing over head, his face fully of anger |
| April looked at Jacob and noticed he was angry and pulled at him "what's wrong?" She asked |

| "Helghast........they all need to die....." |
