| Invasion and Takeover of the planet by the Helghast Empire. The formation of the Helghan Empire occurred some time after the First Extrasolar War against the ISA and UCN, but no more than a decade before the second war. Helghast leaders, including Scolar Visari, continue to impose the belief that the Helghast race is superior to humanity, creating not only intense distrust, but also an expanding hatred of UCN, ISA, or any other form of foreign rule. Ironically, they think of themselves as the race who should be ruling the perceived "lesser" human race. The Helghan Empire's fascist ideals emphasize the superiority of the Helghast, a strong military, and total commitment to the Helghast government. Their ideals are symbolized by the Helghast Triad, which emphasizes duty, obedience, and loyalty. | Vekta was a nice and warm place, Full of life and willing and happy citizens. It was a dark night, everyone eating dinner on a sunday night. This family was no different, Jacob Talzen and his family in their home unaware of what was to come that night. |
| Just down the block was another home enjoying the pleasant evening, it was home to the winters family and their daughter April who was happily enjoying playing a game with her family like any other night |

| a Large bang sounded that echoed through the streets and city, Jacob got up from the table and ran to a window, coming from the sky was a massive Helghast fleet that was firing at military installations at the city |
| April and her whole family were glued to the windowed as they watched in horror unsure of what to do |

| Sounds of people screaming as explosions went of all over the city, more and more ships headed down for the city, happening all over the planet |
| April and her family ran outside after seeing floods of people running in the streets away from a raging fire that just seemed like it was coming out if the sky, |

| Jacob and his family did the same not too far from April's family "the world is ending....the helghast have come for us!!" a random man shouted |
| April subconsciously took down the name as they ran for their lives down the street |

| Jacob and his family Followed April's, running through the street. Landing ships were dropping off Helghast troops that began rounding up people. |
| Down the street the same thing was happening but just before it was a few alleyways to take to not follow the masses, April's father grabbed her hand and lead her and his wife down the alleyway towards the Underground Railroad station |

| Jacobs family kept up with them but barely, A drop ship landed and deployed more troops, which grabbed Jacobs parents "JACOB!!!! RUN!!!!!" His mother screamed out and Jacob ran after April's family |
| April witnessed the whole thing behind which put her in a shocked state which slowed her parents down for a moment until her father picked her up and kept running, then made it quickly to the underground station and were surprised to see a few other families that made it they were all huddled into a corner on the platform the parents put up a wall around their children, it was quiet for a few moments, then a few minutes, until they suddenly started to hear a flood of bootsteps marching down to the platform. All the parents started to put their children on the tracks telling them to start running. April was out down their as well but was too scared to move she only stood there in fear as the adults ran to stall the soilders |

| Jacob ran down the tracks , tears still running down his face he sees April and stops, he runs over to her "Come on we have to keep going!" he took her hand and started to run again down the tracks |
| She was dragged by him for a moment slowing him down until she heard his voice ring in his head and started to run keeping up with him soon after |

| After a while of running they get to another platform "shh get down" he said crouching to look over the platform, the children ahead were capture by the Helghast Troopers |
| She did as he said only when they stopped she really squeezed his hand and was shaking she was so frightened |
|
| he kept a hold of her hand and led her to a closet where they could hide, he didnt have any other ideas, he was 10 after all |
| While they were in the closet she started to calm down and started to whisper as well "d-d-da-do you think their gone?" She timidly asked |

| he looks to her and shakes his head "i dont think so, i can still hear things" |
| She looked to him and wrapped her arms around him |
|
| He had blushed slightly and put his arms around her trying to comfort her, keeping his own tears back from seeing his family taken away |
| After a while everything went Silent she loosened up and looked up at him again "thanks" she whispered |
|
| "its okay...my names Jacob....whats yours?" |
| "It's ap-April" she said "thank you" |
|
| "you dont have to thank me...." he smiled to her |
| "You saved me tho" she said |
|
| "well...yeah i did but....still...i couldnt let you stay there and be caught" |
| "Thank you so much" she said "do you think we can move now?" She asked |
|
| he nods "we should be able to...but we will have to be quiet" he slowly started to open the door |
| She peeks her head out then starts to walk out after him |
|
| He climbs onto the platform and holds out his hand to help her up |
| She takes his hand and hops up onto the platform "where do you think we should go those soilders could be anywhere" |

| "i dont know...." he looked around, stains of blood over the floor, belongings left around |
| Do you think if we follow the tracks all the way down we might get to some place the soilders aren't?" She asked the only thing should could think of (Yo i have class in 5 hours I gotta get some sleep catch you later) |

| (Cya later bud) "We could try that yeah, seems like the best thing to do" |
| "I guess we should get a move on then" she said as she started to walk down the tracks |

| "Yeah" he said following her |
| As they walked along the tracks the pair came across a flashlight, April picked it up and turned it on when she did it looked like there was no end to the tunnel just a long dark tunnel. "Are you doing alright Jacob?" She asked |

| "mmmhmm" he mumbled as he looked down at the tracks as they walked |
| They kept walking on what seemed like and endless track, until suddenly them seemed as if they had hit a dead end. She shined the light on the wall in confusion "what but how?" She said before hearing the sound of footsteps quickly running towards them, April didn't know what to do and stood there confused. Suddenly the people who were running down the tracks caught up to them buy they weren't soilders of the empire but rather people who were carrying what supplies they could when they noticed the kids "hey we got two more" one of the men yelled. Suddenly a door from out of the wall opened up letting the kids and the adults holding the supplies inside, once inside they walked a little ways before coming out of the tunnels into a small village that was tucked into some mountains and hard to find "woah" April said as she walked around |

| "w-wow...." was all Jacob could muster as he looked at the village |
| "Who who are you people?" April asked one of the men stopped and said "were starting a resistance were glad to have you children I'm sure you will grow up to be great fighters, everyone who lives in this village resides under general blue" as they got closer and entered the village they noticed some other children who were running up and down the streets unaware of what was going on outside. "Your just in time children we were just about to start up a training regiment for all the children which will include you two now" he said, April nodded her head |

| Jacob nods, he got a sense of determination about himself, he wanted the helghast to pay for what they've done |
| "For now go and meet the other children you will all be called when the time comes to begin your training" April nodded and waited for Jacob to start moving before she started to walk towards the group of children that were playing |

| Jacob started walking towards the kids, looking down at the floor, kind of nervous |
| As they walked towards the children April lead Jacob with her "hello" she said when they were close enough to be heard. All the children stopped what they were doing and glared at the two before running over and starting up conversations with the two |
|
| Jacob didnt really know what to say but was speaking very weirdly, he was a very weird boy to begin with |
| Slowly the crowd started to shift more to April as she was keeping up with all the strange questions they were asking her |

| Jacob peers over at the growing crowd towards April, Him now alone he walks off slowly minding to himself |
