| Hey! Last night went REALLY well and this is probably our best money maker! We're planning to do this twice next year: one in fall, and one in spring. One fundraiser will raise money for us to go to Katsukon, and the other for Otakon. Of course, since we're doing this next year, we need to find ways to improve the game tournament. We'll probably discuss this in the club, but that's not til after spring break and most of our ideas need to stay fresh in our heads so whatever you post in this topic, i'll discuss it at the club By the way, the TENTATIVE date for the next game tournament is OCTOBER 16 2009 OR NOVEMBER 13 2009. We'll have 1 more in April, but that's not til next year. SUGGESTIONS AND IDEAS CONCERNING LAST NIGHT o. Better games. Lul. Some of this couldn't have been helped, we weren't allowed to let people play M rated games unless they had a permission slip. o. More change at the concession stands. That was something i didn't take into consideration q_q;; i'm really sorry for leaving you guys having to crank out as much change as you could... o. More pizza... cuz that sold out QUICK. o. More TVs and more people who will bring in their consuls. We had 1 extra TV that ended up not being used... and we need some people bringing in better games. We're aiming to play Call of Duty next year, but again, we need people to fill out permission slips to play. When they fill out permission slips, they'll receive a badge so ONLY the people with badges can play the M rated games. IMO, this is too much trouble for something kids and just go home and play themselves... but this is up for discussion WHAT WENT WELL o. a LOT of people went. We had around 80 people come. I think this is great considering that we changed the date so many times AND got rid of Call of Duty + Gears of War + Halo. o. We actually got our TVs! YAY! o. there were no fights XD o. we made lots of money off food o_O!! more people bought the pizza than i expected XD o. The room was really clean after the game tournament o_O o. We now have enough to take 15 members to Otakon~ AREA OF CONCERN o. Do we still have to pay for security? I saw no security guards last night, and Mr. Nipper went in and out most of the time... If we have to pay $100 just for that, i'm ganna kill someone. Then we'd only have $342 D: |

| The amount of people who came, stayed and played super smash was astounding. I was not expecting that many, but there seemed to be trouble with the controller set up. Some people wanted to use the wii controller while others wanted to use the cubes. We can try to tell them next time that it would be advised to bring their own controller, but there would be some lent out at the door, a.k.a. ours and we will make sure that they are watched. Security did not need to be as tight as we anticipated but we still need to ease the paranoid. Super smash and other games similar would attract many, but I do agree that we should cover more genres and hopefully get into some of the better mature games. We also did not use the entire area that we were given, so we can spread the TV’s further apart and fit more in allowing even more possibilities for this event, but finding the TV’s and more chairs for them might be an issue as well. We need to make sure though that the games we do have are relatively short to accommodate multiple people, like fighters or shooter in verses. If we have some games that take too long, some people will leave with regret and not return next time as well as talk people out of going. Yes I do realize most of you have already come to these conclusions but you can’t blame an old man for ranting, can you? |
| We did a lot better than I'd have thought. We could have done even better though if we hadn't changed the date and lost the M-rated games. If we can get that next year then we'll be golden. |

| I agree with lunatic-kr xD very good game xD Back to topic. Because I helped around the food table, this is all I can really say. Pizza went well really great but please try to order pizza from one place. When you bought the second order of pizza, everyone was really confuse about the price of the pizza. I felt so bad for the people who paid $2 for pizza, to realize that we changed it to $2.50 *#@$ Oh well, we earn $0.50 more ;P uhh...Oh, make sure to order pepperoni next time, people really demanded for meat >_>;; Also for the next GT, you should be prepare for change, napkins and plate. MAN, that was a butt to go around the school vendor-machine for change >_>;; Napkin is important too if you want oil all over people controller *some of the game controller were nasty when I tried to play games* Other than that, I think it went very smoothly. I wish you all good luck with the next game tournament (since im not gonna be there but be visiting there xD HAHA~) |

| wait what?? we changed it to 2.50$?? i never told you guys to change it to 2.50... the pizza was just supposed to be 2.00... if someone told you to change the price, other than me, then you seriously shouldn't have listened to them @_@;; and next time we'll have change, plates and napkins XD we were lucky enough to have found the trays @_@ |
