Why is the music way to good in this anime?

The reason i wanted to watch this anime was because i heard one soundtrack from it. But after seeing the whole thing, i started to wonder. Why do they not make soundtracks like this anymore? It way to darn good, at least thats how i feel. After all, im getting the chills just by listening to them.

The music reminded Braveheart a bit. Which also had an awesome soundtrack.

And yeah, I haven't heard such soundtracks much in anime.

Just finished watching it and found it pretty damn good!

And ya, I didn't think till you mentioned, but it was sorta reminiscent of Braveheart. But I found it even more similar to the music from Princess Mononoke, to the extent that at first I thought it was either the same music composer or even an altered version of the songs played from the Princess Mononoke OST. Anyone else that's seen both get a similar vibe?
