| Pilots are tricky, but as long as the pilot has a TV counterpart, they belong in the specials club. CMs work inversely the same way as with pilots. It's the prequel but it's not the "main" anime. “Hellsing: The Dawn” and “Sakasama no Patema: Beginning of the Day” which are in the Shorts club are also prequels but not the "main" anime. Those latter 2 were originally made during the regular production of the “main” anime while the Ef ones were made before the regular production of the main anime. So would such things all go here or all go into Specials? I also found Legend of Regios which is just Hellsing and Patema with it being made during the main's production. Ah! I found one that was made after the main anime! Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas is a short prequel. Transformers: Robot Masters, Ring of Gundman, and Gunlpa G are fine here. Take no Tsume Neo, belongs in the Specials club. While it may have original footage, it's still not enough. It's part of a bigger series (two, at that). |

They are poor both as shorts and as specials; they deserve to have a category of its own. Unaired episodes that are later released on BDs or DVDs are considered specials. So, Patalliro Saiyuuki! Special and Boku no Imouto wa "Osaka Okan": Haishin Gentei Osaka Okan.both belong in the Specials Club. | @purplepinapples added and it used to be at 15 minutes in length. Same as AniDB has it right now which is where MAL got its initial database from years and years ago. But I see where the hiccup occurred. Some episodes were double features and extended past their half hour time slot. But if someone assumes episodes always remained in their time slot, then two episodes would be thought of as ~10 minutes each. Have enough of those and the average duration gets smaller and smaller till you get the avg of 10 and 21. But I'm glad someone caught that and fixed it, and that you caught the fix to post here. So now I can remove it, it was really annoying especially since no full Jap RAWs were online. |

KG is so colorful and wild and non-linear with the 2 ONAs and TV series it's all a blur to me that I honestly can't pick out if this PV has all unique animation like the user stated. I thought I'd have a shot since I was the one who saw there was a difference between Robot Girls Z ep 1 part 1 and episode 0 (to indicate that ep 0 wasn't a promo/PV--it was unique footage mostly with some recycled footage). Wikipedia sure isn't helping stating the volume 00 DVD has 2011 PV (5-version, 25-minute version); since a lot of anime DVDs put all the PVs ever made as bonus material. |
