| "Very true. Guess that would be the bigger concern." |
| "mmmhmmm" he muttered as he concentrated on driving |
| Natalie yawned as she stared out the window, not seeing anything but the abandoned things along the road that were left behind when people started to change. As she watched these thing pass by she recalled memories of past times when things were just like they should be. |
| he looks over at Natalie before looking back at the road,he sighs and rubs his eyes |
| "You did it again." Natalie said as she continued looking out the window. |
| "Cant help it, get some sleep you look like you need it, ill wake you if anything happens" |
| "You sure you'll be alright up on your own?" |
| "Yeah ill be fine dont worry,im not that tired" |
| "Alright then. I'll take your word for it, if you need me for anything wake me up." |
| "Okay then" he smiles as he kept driving |
| Natalie made herself as comfortable as she could and started to drift off a bit. She stayed in a sitting up position, since she had gotten use to sleeping almost anywhere, and had her head leaned up against window. |
| he looked at her then smiled and kept on driving for a few hours,pulling up outside a small town as it seemed |
| She continued to sleep, appearing to be peaceful. She coughed a few times but didn't wake. |
| He looks at her , he was going to wake her up before letting her sleep a little longer |
| She started to murmur something while she was still asleep. "I'll be fine......Just.....Just worry.......about yourself....." |
| He smiled "talking in your sleep? haha...." he gets out the car and stretches |
| Not waking she continued on sleeping and mumbling a few things. |
| He took a look around and heard something "hey....hey Natalie wake up!" |
| She slowly got up and looked around. "I'm up." She said as she became a little more aware of her surrounds. "Something wrong?" |
| "YOu not here that?" it was a low sound, almost like gun fire |
| "Not from in here." She got out and walked over to where he was. "What was it?" |
| "Sounded ....quiet but i definitely heard it....sounded like weapon fire from that town" |
| "Do you think someone is over there that fired it?" |
| "Maybe, i mean...we have to go in there anyway,but it might go bad" |
| "Well we have to do what we have to do. Whether it turns out well or not." |
| "Yeah...lets hide the car then hed on in yeah?" |
| "Yea, sounds like the start of a plan to me. Where are we going to put it?" |
| "uh.....i dunno....." he looks around "see anything useful?" |
| She looked around. "We're on a road, on the outskirts of a little town." She said speaking her thoughts. "Maybe around in or behind one of the little buildings or sheds." |
| "mmmm yeah...gonna have to do...." he got back in the car and started the engine |
| Stretching a little, Natalie yawned as she waited for him to hide the car. She looked around to see if she could find anything interesting about the place. |
| He drove the car behind a set of garage's and covered it with a tarp to hide it |
| Looking off into the town, she saw a little dim light moving. "I wonder what that is?" She squinted to see if she could make anything out but it was too far for her to see anything else. |
| He got his bat and revolver from the car before heading to Natalie "Ready?" |
| "Yea." She turned to look at him for a moment. "Did you see that...." She turned back to see if the light was still there but it had disappeared. "...Light that was..... just over there?" |
| "I didnt see anything....you sure your feeling okay?" he asked with a worried look |
| "I swear I just saw it. It was right over there." She pointed in the direction. She stared at the spot for a moment. "Please tell me I haven't started to go crazy yet." |
| "Maybe a little" he manages a chuckle "Come on lets go" |
| "I'm coming. I'm not suppose to start going crazy yet. Once it starts , it'll only progress." |
| "Dont start that talk you aint crazy" he starts walking toward the town |
| "Well everyone ends up crazy." She followed him as he started towards town. |
| "Hmmmm i guess thats true, lets hope that doesnt happen to either of us for a long time" he laughs |
| "We'll see how that works out cause we aren't exactly in normal conditions." |
| "True that we arent" he laughs again |
| "Glad you're amused.So what do you think is in this small little town." |
| "I dunno, hopefully some supplies we can use, or hell even some people that can help us" |
| "Well guess we'll find out soon enough. Even though helpful people are so hard to find these days. As for supplies there has to be some somewhere." |
| "Yeah i agree" they get into the start of town,stores and all sorts around them |
| Natalie looked around,"Well at least it doesn't have the feel of a creepy ghost town." |
| "Mmm yeah...." he looks to a hardware store "Im heading in here first,watch the door for me?" |
