| he chuckled and before long they were back on the outskirts of the town looking in one direction was the city and in the other was just a single road leading out to nowhere |

| "We taking this road?" |
| "no where else to go" he let go of her hand and continued to walk |

| "how long do you think till we find somewhere.....suitable?" |
| "who knows we could end up walking across the whole state depending on what the nova's have done" he sighed |

| "hmmmm true.......hopefully we can find somewhere" |
| "Hmmm that surprising to hear you agree with me" he chuckled |

| she rolled her eyes and kept looking forward |
| He let her walk ahead of him again following closely from behind watching their backs |

| She kept on walking hopefully towards something at least of good, rain clouds in the distance thundering |
| He catches up to her walking side by suddenly he pulls out an umbrella and holds it above them both seconds before the rain hits, he turned to her and smiled |
|
| "Thanks........." she mumbles and gets closer to him so she doesnt get wet |
| "Don't mention it" he said as they kept walking |
|
| "how long do you think till the rain goes again?" she asksstaying close to him |
| "i cant see anywhere the clouds end so it could be for a while" |
|
| "Ugh....were gonna get cold soon" |
| "do you want my jacket?" he asked her |
|
| "No im fine....." she was shaking from the cold |
| he puts it around her "wear it your shaking" he nagged her |
|
| "f-fine...." she clings to it as she shakes |
| He kept the umbrella above them as they kept walking "man I can't see anything with this rain" |

| "Me either" she mumbled back |
| As they keep walking they see some smoke in the distance "Clara do you see that?" He pointed to the smoke "there might be someone over there wanna go check it out?" |
|
| "Yeah okay, but we gotta be quiet, they might be thugs" |
| "Haha why would there be thugs all the way out here?" He said as they walked closer to the source of the smoke |

| "Why wouldnt there be? they can be anywhere" |
| "Fine fine lets just find out" as they walked they came across a small cabin |
|
| She followed him this time,her hand on her tanto just in case |
| He knocked on the door of the cabin "is anyone there?" |
|
| She had her back to the wall of the outside |
| stefan slowly opened the door "pardon the intrusion were just trying to get out of the rain" when he opened the door all the way there was no one inside that could be seen |
|
| "Is anyone in there?" she whispered |
| "i dont see anyone" he said as he looked back to her and closed the umbrella |
|
| She walks inside and looks around |
| stefan closed the door behind them and started to look around as well |
|
| "seems....cozy...." shes says |
| "We still don't know if anyone is see stay alert" |
|
| "Yeah i know" she sits down and keeps looking around |
| Stefan keeps looking around the cabin for a few more minutes before laying down on the floor "ahh I'm beat mind waking me if anything happens?" |
|
| "Yeah sure" she says holding her knees sitting on the couch |
| He soon falls asleep on the floor when he turns over his pants were torn and had some blood stains |
|
| She looks over at Stefan and sighs "you were too reckless..." |
| He turns over again in his sleep, suddenly there was footsteps outside the door |
|
| she looked at the door and held her tanto and whispered "Stefan! wake up!" |
| An older looking man with a rifle in one hand and a duck in the other entered the cabin as Stefan sat up |
|
| "w-who are you?????" she asked |
| "what do you mean who am i this is my cabin i should be asking you that? breaking into someones house is terrible manners" the old man grumbled stefan "forgive us sir we were just trying to escape the ran and happened to come across your cabin" he bowed his head |

| she didnt know what to say,she kept her eyes on him but was slowly closing she was far too tired |
| the old man looked at stefan then at Clara "at least one of you is responsible...where are you kids from? and what is your names" the old man asked stefan "my name is stefan and we fled into the woods after our home was destoried by the nova's" he looked over at Clara and noticed she was half awake "thats Clara she is my sister, could i bother you to let us stay the night?" he asked |
