| "you sure? i dont wanna be taking all your supplies now" he stands up "Im sure i can find my own so i dont have to take yours" he said with a slight smile "Just be careful, try not to stay here too long" |
| "Now that I know what they are doing I don't plan on sticking around, especially since they're armed now. And since I won't be staying here for long I won't be taking all of this stuff with me." |
| "If you want you can tag along with me, i could use an extra set of eyes will im traveling around" he asks |
| "If you have room for a second person, I think i'll take you up on that offer. Probably be safer in a group then on my own." |
| "Yeah im sure there's enough room,just gotta be sure to have everything ready by tomorrow maybe? then we can head out if thats alright with you" |
| "Yea, I can be ready then since there really isn't much to take with me given the current state of the world." |
| "True, Well then your more then welcome to tag along for the ride then" he smiles then looks out the window at the sun setting |
| "Makes things a lot simpler when you have to move quickly. Well it sounds like a good plan to me." |
| "Mind if i catch some sleep here then for tonight? havent slept properly in days" he says stretching |
| "Knock yourself out. It doesn't really bother, So you can crash anywhere you like. Oh and if you hear any banging or knocking sounds it means we have some unwanted visitors." |
| "Got cha" he laid down on the couch in a comfortable position,his bat held close like he usually does, he ends up falling asleep a few minutes later due to the exhaustion of the last few days |
| "He wasn't kidding when he said he was tired." Natalie looked over at him then picked the book she was writing in earlier and started reading a page in the middle of it to pass some time. |
| As he tossed and turned during his restfull sleep a photo dropped out his jacket pocket, it showed Logan and his two daughters and wife |
| Natalie got up and walked over to get a bottle of water. As she walked back she noticed the photo on the floor. She picked it up and looked at it. Must be his. She looked at it and smiled for a moment. Must be his family. I wonder where they all are. Natalie gently put in his pocket. wouldn't want to lose that |
| After a couple of hours he started to awaken and sat up yawning and stretching"God i needed that..." |
| Natalie was fast asleep sitting in the same chair with her head resting on the table next to her book and bottle of water when Logan woke up. She didn't wake at the sound of him getting up, and continued sleeping peacefully. |
| He looks at her and stands up stretching, then heads into the bathroom and washes his face and his bat to clear off the blood splatters "ugh.......wonder if ill ever find 'em......." he sighs and walks back into the room and sits on the couch |
| Not completely awake she could hear water running from the bathroom and someone moving the room. "Sounds like you're up." She mumble as she kept still. |
| "Oh, sorry did i wake you Natalie?" he asks looking over at her from the couch |
| "No you're fine, just a light sleeper." She picked up her head and looked at her watch for the time. |
| "Alright then, what time is it? not very light out" he says looking at the window noticing the sun barely being up |
| "Close to 6. It'll be light out in about an hour or so." She stretched her arm sitting up. She pulled her hair back, putting it into a ponytail. |
| He stands up and makes his way to the window "We better make a move while we have a ........chance....." he sighs as he looks down at the horde of zombies moving in from the south, down the road he came from |
| "Alright then ready when you are." She picked up a backpack she had placed a few things in earlier and stuck her book in at the last thing. |
| "We dont have much time, a horde will be here shortly" he picks up his bat and goes to the door and waits for her |
| She followed him out now fully awake. "Ok Let's go then." She looked around really quickly then continued on |
| He runs out to the car and gets in the driver seat and quickly starts the engine "Get in!" he shouts as he straps himself in |
| She climbs into the passenger seat tossing the bag into the back as she pulled the belt over herself and buckling it. |
| As soon as she buckled herself in he sped off down the road, looking back at the mirror to see the horde reaching where they were "Damn that was close" |
| "Strange of them to attack at that time." She turned around and watched as they began to disappear into the distant. |
| "They must of followed me....sorry" he sighed as he drove onto the highway heading out of LA |
| "Nothing to apologize for. It was bound to be found sooner or later by the whole lot of them anyways. Besides I've learned not to become to attached to anything anymore." |
| "Yeah.......thats my rule too....never get attached to anything...not anymore" he said looking straight ahead as they drove down the highway |
| "You don't have much of a choice with that if you want to survive." She turned back around to face forward. "Where do you plan on going next?" |
| "Anywhere really, have anything in mind? Not Vegas though, i just came from there, surprisingly barely any infected or survivors" |
| "No, nowhere in particular. As for Vegas I guess there's not really much there that's valuable there now. I mean if you have the infection then you're too busy trying to finish taking over the world. And if you're a survivor the only thing it might have worth your time is survival supplies." |
| "Yeah i managed to get a few basic supplies there, most of it was ruined" They pull up at a gas station outside of LA "We gotta find more gas, running low again.." |
| "There's bound to be some, somewhere around here." She got out and took a quick glance around. |
| "Yeah.....give me a hand looking around" he unhooks his seatbelt and gets out the car with his bat,looking around in case of any uninvited guests |
| "Sure." She walked around to the side of the building looking inside through one of the windows. It wasn't a great view of the inside but she didn't see anyone inside, so she cautiously opened the door poking her head in to get a better look. |
| Logan takes a look outside around the gas station,looking into the cars that were abandoned nearby "hmm nothing....." he starts walking back to the gas station |
| "Nothing yet at least." She pulled her daggers out from the sides of her boots and walked in checking past the isles. |
| An Infected ran at Natalie from behind an Isle "hmm yeah..." he leans on the car looking around |
| Hearing the rushing footsteps she turned to see it running towards her. Reacted she sliced a dagger through it's neck. Blood splatted out at her as he first dagger got stuck in the bones of it's neck. Using her second one she finished cutting through the bone decapitating it. "Found one or more like it found me." |
| "hmm? what?" he makes his way inside "oh i see....good thing it was only one...." |
| She wipe some of the blood off from her face. "I've got to say this is one of the grosses thing that I've ever touched." She pulled her daggers from the corpse and looked at it's disembodied head. |
| "Ugh.......The stench of them too is bad enough" |
| "I agree. Anyways let's go see what else we can fine before more show up." She stepped over the body and continued on her way looking around. |
