Liking this show so far, has a very dark, mature feel to it. Not enough shows with that these days.

I wonder if he's going to end up killing this reporter lady too. >_<

Does the monster remind anyone else of the conspiracy monsters from Welcome to the NHK? Actually, this show reminds me a lot of NHK in way; the depressing view of life, seeing monsters and the tone of both series are very similar.

I also wonder if Shizuko has some incest problem with the way she was sleeping with her child to a point where she was squeezing him close to her face.

I don't think so, that could simply imply her fear and insecurity, a common thing for single mothers, I don't mean she's seeking strength thinking she could find it at the little boy, but I mean that most of her fear could be bcs of takin care of him, or may be loneliness

I thought the scenes with the wild laughter & the frantic, almost crazed drawing of all the portraits of himself/the monster were kinda unsettling..like watching someone just sort of unravel in front of you...He just seemed so unstable--it really gave me the creeps.

Oh, I thought the young version of Yozo would kill that guy just because he found out that Yozo was just acting like a clown to make him feel that he exists. Also, his eyes creeps me out. It reminds me of the Grudge for some reason, lol. Throught the whole episode, I was covering my eyes since I expect the ghost slut girl to show up, but she didn't, lol.

Damn, Yozo sure is lost. He doesn't know what to do now. I think the best way for him is to die but that's still not quite right. Also, if he's the monster, then who's that little monster guy that always follows him? Plus, that scene where he woke up and a monster came out of a closet creeped me out, aah.

Yozo is also a player because he has the skill to pick up random girls that he just met, lol. I wonder what's going to happen. Also, why would that newspaper girl commit suicide if she has a cute daughter waiting for her at home?!

I find it very odd that the Youzo's "monster" form appeared when he described how he felt when underneath Tsuneko's skirt in the first episode. He said it "smelled nice" and made him "feel aroused". These are perfectly normal reactions for a young man having his head held between a woman's thighs, are they not? So why is his "not human" image speaking these lines? This expression of normal sexuality is all the more strange given that Youzo's problems are sexual in origin.

I was also rather fascinated by that little tidbit with the author's family picture. The same thing was done with the protagonist in this story as well, and it really is an interesting way to give that disjointed, out-of-place feeling.
I'm really intrigued by our protagonist. Will he succumb to his "monster" side? And what does it mean exactly, to be a monster? What's interesting is that he didn't become a monster after his lies, swindling, and the double suicide of the first episode--he was called out on it as a child. Was his mere attention-seeking enough to make him a monster?

I like the subtle stuff. Like how the woman's house is not up to human standard, and he's not human (or at least he doesn't view himself as such).

A truly outstanding series 2 episodes in. I love the dark atmosphere, the characters that need little exposition to feel fleshed out and the soundtrack from another era.

The reporter lady is going to put herself and her kid in danger. The MC is clearly got serious psychological issues that require treatment.

This is getting better, or rather, darker and more despairing. Great imagery. This is how you establish atmosphere!

Ooba is trying to integrate himself into society again, trying to run from his monsters and become normal. But the people around him are crap and do the opposite. Lets see how this single mother does.

Again, I absolutely love how the introduction guy allows us to make the connection between the MC and author. Adds to the atmosphere.

Didn't like this as much as the first episode, but it was still interesting.

I thought the part that showed his younger self in school was probably the best part of this episode, but they didn't stay on that part for very long.

I have to imagine that the ghost he was seeing is just a figment of his imagination, but the way it's acting is making me think otherwise...

I guess we'll see where things go from here.

Dang this show is so good. Especially the bit where the author committed suicide after ... and then the "ghost" in his past is following him. Dang, that part was so creepy! Definitely has a dark vibe to this entire arc. Plus he's being haunted by the woman he "killed" ... I wonder how this is going to end up? :O

Its pretty scary how the ghost of his past keeps coming back to haunt him. Also he is surrounded in a messed up world.

Good touch there to loosen up my feelings a little bit, by posing for the drawing!

He's definitely the type of person who tries very hard to please everyone and ends up pleasing no one in the end because of how forced his actions feel like. He tried to be a clown but the one person who didn't buy his act forced him to find another answer before realizing that he's a broken mess that can't act on his own even if he's well aware of his problem at that point in the present. If that shadow midget is his own perception of what he truly is, nothing but getting admitted to the coocoo house can help him now.

Shizuko's scared, lonely and suicidal and inviting that guy is bad news!

That ghost was scary -__________-

It's all the more sad in the background of the intro about a real writer. Poor Yozo quickly had it implanted into his mind that he's a ghost and it followed him well into his adulthood. Wondering how this will pan out in later episodes.

Loving the voice acting for Yozo.

Pretty dark so far, Ooba really has some mental issues and the saddest thing is nobody is trying to help him, not his dad, the caretaker, his 'friend' and not even the lady because she will probably use him to get over her own issues

That's some back story for him. A ghost eh? It is good that he wants to try to live like a real person. BUt his ghostly personality keeps following him.

I really hope nothing happens to this woman and they just live happily ever after, but that probably would not happen. Gotta prepare me for another depressing episode.
