| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was an awesome episode. You'd think Keiji would be more suited for that dog lol. That was great though, even more depth to Jirobo's character. The second half of the episode definitely overshadowed it, though. Getting to see Kenshin and Tae-hime's story was really interesting, and the action was some of the best we've gotten so far. He literally cut the guy down the middle lol that was fucking brutal. You could see a lot of Kanetsugu in Kagetora, but the bearded Kenshin is certainly the more badass one. This anime has slowly become one my favorites from the summer season. It's really hitting its stride right now, and it sucks so many people are missing out on it because of its lackluster start. I'm really falling in love with the storytelling and ability to develop complex characters and relationships through righteousness, seemingly at the drop of a hat. |

| Who said there was no moe in this anime? Did you see that dog?! I found it very interesting to see the backstory of Kanetsugu's birth. His mum and dad were both real badasses and no wonder their kid turned out be such a righteous and eccentric person. |

| A... dog. That beast was... a dog? Well, to be fair, not the weirdest thing in this show. And due to the inherent size difference, a beast that size to Jirobo probably only comes up to Kanetsugu's knee. "The things that those two do... It's only natural they produced offspring..." Is she trying to say her sister is a hella kinky one? Tae's methods of attracting a man are awesome though - that fucking drinking contest, oh my god. And she's such a badass! I also looked up what Bishamonten is, and it's the Japanese name for a Buddhist deity - one they view as a god of warfare and a punisher of evil-doers. Tae confirmed for new best character. This was the best episode in a while. I really enjoyed it, and the animation seemed better than usual too. |
