| In 10 minutes Marie became a more badass pilot then all of Haruto in season 1! I really feel for Marie and L-elf. Poor Shoko, she just keeps losing more people close to her, I wonder how she is going to take this news. |
| I've been feeling that this anime is good since the first episode but I don't get why people feel that it's so bad though. I'd heard a lot about being ridiculous plot twist etc. etc. but I find it alright though haha. Anyway, this episode was great |

| Dat "Soba ni Iru yo" was perfect! Marie :'( Pretty sure losing memories is only Marie's side effect (probably because she was the test pilot and they messed her up somehow). | Very very very good episode. Easily one of the best (if not the best) episode in Valvrave no matter where you look: story, directing, sakuga/animation, character portrayal, music, plot development. And the whole "Soba ni Iru yo" was played to fill the 5 minutes of epic wonder and tragic sorrow - Tears literally filled my eyes by the end of the song. Marie went out with the brightest flare of glory and she will be definitely missed. Hydnlife said: Except that this great character did not become great only in the previous episode. She has been around since day 1 and if we look back the hints have been planted here and there. She did mention she could not remember the past, and because she was turned into Magius at 11, her body was stuck at that age which is why she looks smaller than all her classmates, for example.we get a great character, just for her to be killed off next episode? come on man, why even show us the background at all? kinda of a waste there. |
| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| Man, the enemy mechs sure can keep up with the valvrave. Good to see L-elf in killing mode once again :) Marie is the ultimate pilot on the good side :D It's sad that Marie used a different way to replenish the valvrave's runes compared to Haruto T.T |

That's why they stopped using you as a test pilot" as though this problem was unique to Marie. Like the other Valvrave pilots emit less runes for the VVV to consume, but since Marie can't control her flow then she a) loses her memories and b) is much more powerful in the Valvrave than the others. More Runes = More power = Losing memories. |

| What a badass character aaaaaaaand she's gone. Look like there is a way to killed off space vampire. Since Haruto feed on L-Elf for runes to operate Valvraves, L-Elf might lose his memory in the future, without him, all is lost for Haruto and co even if they have powerful mecha. |
| Wooooow probably the best episode so far. I'm quite speechless. I liked Marie before but I've got new-found respect for her. Her piloting skills made Haruto's look like a 5 year old piloting the Valvrave. So proud of you Marie. You don't deserve what happened to you and I hope you can be saved. D: I still can't stand and will always hate Haruto and L-Elf. Those two are perfect for each other, L-Elf is an ass and Haruto is the most pathetic and annoying character. They also completely forgot about Saki or what? And she should be grateful to A-Drei for saving her. |

| Am I the only person who found this episode unnecessary? Sure, on one hand it was a lot of fun to see Marie go out their and kick ass... but what did it really add to the story? And why bother just bringing up an issue to harp on if you are going to solve it in one episode? It just feels like if they really wanted to have this storyline in, it should have been woven into the rest of the plot a little more naturally so it wouldn't feel like a side story. Also, having EVERY character being connected to the Valvrave system in some way or another EXCEPT Shoko, and rubbing our faces in that fact all the time is a bit annoying. Taking Marie out of the relatively normal person category and putting her into the "special powers" one kind of detracted from the balance of the characters for me. :-/ |

| "For One Episode Only" A rather creative way to "kill" off a character. An immortal one, to boot. All while having her destroy entire armies singlehandedly. This show is good at destroying its characters, I'll give it that. So they ended up killing Marie off anyway... at least Aina died quickly, and now Marie's body will probably continue to "live" on forever without a mind or a consciousness. Well, she can still be technically immortal that way. And that is why wishing for plain immortality is also not a good idea... It would have been awesome to have her as a backup/secret pilot of sorts when things become extremely hairy for the team seeing how Marie stole the spotlight on her own (though powered by self-destructive energy), but I guess Sunrise never puts its main pilots out of work for extended periods of time or lets someone else steal their spotlight for long. It's a shame seeing how she was able to use VVVI to its full potential. Kinda reminds me of Gundam X a bit with how the original pilot gets to show off the full ability of the titular mecha for a single episode in contrast to the current pilot who can only do so much with it. I now have more questions why none of the other Valvrave pilots or their "victims" ever lose any memories. Granted, Marie's rate of memory loss was too much but it only seemed like Haruto was ever truly affected by the more severe symptoms of their "blessing". The others don't go on any rune feeding frenzies like him either. |

There is only "ONE" engine for the valvraves(well cain holds the other engine though I am unsure why 02 can't just receive rune from 01 like the other 4 units). Which is why haruto is the only one that needed to feed, because all the valvraves rune comes from haruto via pino. Or marie via pino during this episode fight. Recall how ALL unit power down and not just 01 when runes are depleted. |
