A pretty powerful episode, Iggy obtained a soul since the attack of the autoreivs purposefully infected with the Cognito virus. His love and hatred for Re-l was touching, and so so truthful at the same time. I agree she's quite a bitch sometimes. It was a great ending to a very eventful episode, how Iggy sacrifices his 'life' for Re-l, and in the end even fights with the Cognito virus while he says his last words to her.

I agree that this was a touching and powerful episode. Iggy was pretty scary (seemed so corrupt and crazy), as was the part when Re-l was trapped in the glass capsule

Oh jeez, this was actually episode 13 we're both talking about. Anyway, I liked this episode a lot as well. I was a little disappointed at how it just ended without showing how the doppelganger proxy was defeated by Vincent, but I enjoyed the little development of Vince and Re-l's relationship as well as the other proxy's feelings(?).

I was dissapointed he never named itself, but it's actually quite peculiar how the whole episode was a flashback.

As for episode 13, it's less about Iggy fighting with cogito, but rather him fighting to bring his newfound heart under control. He learned what hate was and much like a scorned lover, he hated Re-l for just ditching him and Vincent for taking her away. In the end, it seems that, unlike Pino, Iggy could never fully control his newfound emotions. So it seems the reason most autoreivs get violent when infected is because they harbor hatred for their masters in some form.

Unequivocally confusing interesting episode with no idea whats happening but love it. Guess its better to watch it over a few times to really understand it. This seems its trying to input some philosophy of life and what urges you to move forward in your life rather than bow down and give up trying to live. Again just love this intellectual 20min psyche trip ride.

Boy, do I share the same sentiment with you! This is what drew me to this anime. This is also what I like about this series, it has a high re-watch value and as soon as you start watching it again you'd pick up clues, little details and subtle hints that would help you discover the "mystery" of this show.

it was a little confusing at first, but i got the hang of it after pino said there were two of each.

next episode seems.... er... well it sounds like some sort of break from all this confusion.

I didn't find it boring at all. I loved the first half of the episode especially. They don't tell you there's a shapeshifter going around, and so when the characters are repeating scenes and acting weird, you're like "What the Hell?" Then it dawns on you, and I think it ended up pretty well.

You could call this a "filler" episode since it had a stand-alone story and didn't seem to affect the overall plot, but I still liked it.

The preview for the next episode was unlike the previews before it. Piques my interest.

One of the best episodes of any anime ever!

So much of what's in here is about stuff I feel strongly about or really respond to. The part about not truly existing if you have no place and where Vince talks about how he couldn't fit in whether he made himself like everyone else or not really resonated with something. I'm definately reccomending this!

Agreed! I picked up on the jist near the end. Re-l said the other vincent had no reflection so i said WTH and all thoughts of the episode drifted out into space. Though it looks like at the end they are finally warming up to each other.

Thoroughly enjoyed this episode. It actually made me feel kind of tense trying to understand what was happening. When Vince had the door closed on him on the roof I realized another proxy had to be copying them. Definitely was neat the way they set that up.

If it wasn't for Pino both of them would be dead! I wouldn't eat Pino's cooking yet, if in fact it could be called her "cooking" at all! LOL

This. Had to admit it was really confusing til Pino said that there were two Vincents.
Thought I skipped an episode coz the beginning dialogues doesn't seem to connect what happened previously. lol

Wow, favourite episode so far. It was probably because of the mysterious and foreboding atmosphere. I caught on right away that there were doppelgangers because I knew that something was off in that abandoned city. It was rather weird and rushed how they just left, though. What happened to the proxy? I don't think they killed it.

The Proxy got killed by Vincent (Ergo Proxy) when they both sunk in the lake. If you notice you will see that blue light emitting form the lake as the result of Ergo Proxy's death stare, similar to how he killed the first two.

Totally XD but it was awesome. I knew there was one shapeshifter that kept changing into Vincent and Re-l, but it seemed like there were two? o_O I was wondering why the ginger ale part kind of repeated twice, and then how Vincent fell from the roof yet was gone the next second. That was very un-Vincent like. But wow all the psychological stuff in this episode @_@ this anime never ceases to give me headaches. I probably need to watch this again to understand it fully.

Whoa, who left the confusion generator running?

That scene where Vincent kills Re-l really got me, until I realized Pino probably wouldn't react like that since she doesn't seem to like Re-l much... Maybe.

It's a pity we didn't get to see the shapeshifter's true form, or hear it's name.

Great episode. I loved the first half with the 2 of each characters and then when Pino does the reveal it all makes sense. The last 2 episodes have been about fleshing out and developing Re-L and Vincent. It might be extremely important to the future of the trip their little "family" is doing.

I wonder when we'll see some of waht's happening back in Romdo. I'm sure Raul is scheming something.

hmmm, decent episode. Not as good as others though. I do like the idea of the proxy changing to be accepted and basically demonstrating and comparing past and present vince.

The same scenario happening again made me think about vince as well, as in what is the right choice that he should make? contemplating if he should kill lil and the consequences of doing so, i.e. being alone, pino leaving him.

I guess it also shows vince how he isn't alone anymore, again comparing him to past vince. Pretty roundabout way of doing so, but whatever, i do like it this way :P i do hope the series doesnt just completely do this every episode though >.>
