Started and completed it today, with no breaks. It's open for a second season, I hope to see the ending of it.

Thats it? O_o. I paused the anime in episode 08 for almost one and a half years since it wasn't going anywhere. anyways, i am finally done with it.

overall, the anime gets 6/10 for me, but since I am a mizuki nana fan + Lydia being exceptionally cute, giving it an 8/10

not much character development and the plot could have been much much better. that being said:

10/10, enough said. *hopes for 2nd season*

9/10... It did end on a cliff hanger so I am hoping for one

it's a shoujo anime, keep that in mind, since most of the shoujo anime never get to have a second season, whether they deserve one or not, i can safely assume that it will be a wiser decision to switch to its manga/novel counterpart.

I for one, thought this anime was quite enjoyable. I liked how cheesy Edgar was and am satisfied with most of the romantic moments of the two.
Maybe I've gotten used to stories not being developed properly, but I thought that it was okay the way it is, except for the ending. I am curious... what's with that vision which Banshee saw of Edgar(?) looking so cool like that? D:

Didn't like how that Ulysses (was his name?) didn't get defeated at the end, but overall, I thought this anime deserved 8 1/2 over 10.

If A-1 Pictures is kind enough... maybe a 2nd Season? :3c

Too bad they didn't kissed at the end but I liked it, 7/10

The story was quite confusing sometimes and I didn't got everything but I liked the art style, Edgar was a really nice bishie and Raven was just awesome ^^ Lydia was good as char too so it was good :) But too bad it ended with such an open ending :(

I thought that leading up to the last episode was pretty good but it ended up being a little dissapointing. Nothing really was accomplished and Lydia and Edgar's relationship didn't change to much, which is the most dissapointing. Not even a kiss! >.<

Anyway, gave this series a 6/10.

Guessing there is no second season?

This wasn't half bad... sadly every time they came up with a nice idea they just kinda forgot to elaborate upon it. At the end not much had change yet a bunch on information was delivered.

6/10
huh?

A very cute anime ^v^ I too feel that they could have elaborated on some developements in the show. Romance between the two protagonists was sometimes a bit cheesy but still nice to see. Would have loved to see more episodes. Probably then the story could have got more time to sink in completely with better story execution.

but all in all i still give 8/10

I liked this anime. It may sound like there could be a sequel but looking at the original air date, It probably would not happen. I just wished they could explain more of who this prince is or at least show his face for once(despite his baby form)

Don't you hate those animes where the main characters are boring and annoying and there's promise in the supporting characters, but they never get to shine because, well, they're supporting characters?

I really liked Raven. He has the best/funniest scenes.
And honestly, Kelpie giving up the woman he loves for the sake of her happiness, even though he might be unhappy, proves he is the better man. Plus he saved their asses. Twice.

As for not expecting something from this, it went fairly well. Though of course some parts were pretty disappointing.

Additionally to that, this is pretty much screaming for a second season and I'm not sure if I want that.

But still a solid 5/10 for me.

xD Same here, not sure I want that; though it most likely won't happen anyway so it's okay. I'm somewhat interested in how it's all going to end (in the manga I guess?) but I'm not sure I'm interested enough to actually read through it...

I totally agree with this; I found the supporting characters a lot easier to connect to than the main ones a lot of the time...

I have gotta say that I really like the introduction of the anime, and the whole prince thing is mysterious and it carries a tinge of suspense so I am really looking forward to how the plot will be twisted. However, this story is not really well elaborated and it looks like a totally cliff hanger so is there suppose to be season 2?

Ahaha this turned out to be awful.

To be fair I liked the first 4 episodes when they were looking for the sword and the voice cast was good, actually it was too good for this series.

Edgar and Lydia were so dull, uninteresting, and forgettable that even watching paint dry is more exciting than watching them.
What a disaster that these two boring MCs had to hog screentime and fill this series with boringness.

Raven (+Nico- since they got so attached at the end) and Kelpie were the only characters that got shit done and most importantly: they were interesting.
They were the only saving grace out of all of this.

Eh, this was a fairly standard final episode. I'd like to say more but it really didn't bring anything new to the table that makes what happened worth explaining or expanding on. I didn't really mind the forehead kiss at the end, it shows how Edgar remained a gentleman to the very end, waiting for the favor of his fairy Lydia.

Well overall I have to say that I'm glad I finally got this done and over with. Not to say I didn't enjoy it, but it was hard to get back into after putting it on hold. Although I liked the European setting and the various fairy lore, I feel like they didn't really go far or deep enough with the ideas which led to a seemingly rushed and lackluster experience. It doesn't really help improve my opinion when the ending is an open "you won but only this time!" I do like Lydia and Edgar's interactions, but his teasing got borderline clingy at times and really helped to highlight Kelpie's awesomeness in the midst of it. At least this show was filled with a healthy amount of veteran seiyuu that I recognized and adore, such as Sawashiro Miyuki and Miyano Mamoru.

For what it was worth, a 6/10 suits this series best. It had some golden moments such as Raven unwittingly poking fun at Edgar and Edgar x Lydia moments, but the story felt a bit weak as a whole and just didn't click all the way for me.

the ending itself was alright, could have definitely been better, but i liked how they handled the ending: having the ending song playing in the background of the final scene and then having the opening song play while clips from the entire show play next to the credits.

it's too bad that there doesn't seem to be a second season happening. i would have liked to see the mist fairy story animated. :(

Easily one of the worst romances I've ever come across in any anime.Just awful, plain awful to sit trough. Completely indecisive,childish/prude and constantly "playing hard to get " main female characters are as usual the worst of kind of MC's in a shoujo story that only a hack author uses.

Nonsensical and rushed to the extreme story, terrible cast of characters (the 2 mains even make the 2 clowns for Kaichou wa Maid sama! look good in comparison) and overall just a unimpressive and completely shallow experience.
This is the kind of shoujo series that brings a bad name to the genre in the eyes of so many people.

Whoa, this was the most boring series I've seen in a while, nothing particularly stands out about it, and the typical "shoujo fight" in the last episode only made me sleepy, ugh. And it doesn't even go anywhere! I wanted to watch some fun historical/fantasy shoujo series, but can't say I enjoyed it that much. It took me 2 freaking months to watch all 12 episodes, which probably says a lot.

And it's a shame, because technical stuff like chara-design (bishies), soundtrack, voice acting, even opening were quite good, something I would definitely appreciate more if the story and characters was at least slightly less... dull? 5/10

-------------------------
Bad, weak anime, both in the story and the characters. Trace leaves to be desired for not being something continuous, it seems that it was done anyway. The only one who saves is the Crow with its beauty and magnificent fights.
Also, I do not tell people to waste their time watching, I do not even know why I watched until the end

I thought it was pretty decent. Not great, not terrible. Obviously at this point they’re not making a second season, but I would have watched it if they had. Didn’t care much for Edgar for most of the beginning, but he gradually grew on me when it became more obvious he was serious about Lydia, and wouldn’t actually force her into anything. They could have given us at least one real kiss though, especially after that teaser in the opening with the two of them in bed together!
Kelpie was pretty awesome - I think he was my favorite, and Raven was second.

Seriously, blah. The character development was so bad. Lydia was the worst the entire time. I felt NO connection to any of the characters. Raven was best boy until the end. Kelpie was a badass. Edgar was annoying.
The relationship was drug on for WAY TOO LONG. All Lydia had to do was acknowledge her interest in Edgar and things could have moved forward, but they didn't. Sigh.

Well, I guess this anime is not that bad? Not that good as much as the other shoujo genres that I've watched. But it's still entertaining, at least...

7/10 overall

There was too much back and forth going on in the romance aspect between Edgar and Lydia. She still doesn't realize that she loves him *facepalm*

And they gave us a freakin' forehead kiss in the end. What a load of bull lol.

This anime is so old, I doubt they'll come out with a S2 to explain Lydia's past with boys that made her deny Edgar's advances til the v end .-. It's prolly something cliche anyways, but I still wanna see it X)

What a boring ending, couldn’t careless about these two (MC). Kelpie and Raven steal the show, MCs does nothing but talk.
Right that’s all they do.
