| I like how Natsume snapped when Harutora said Suzuka has her cute moments haha Harutora, the guy behind him, and the waitress were all shaking lol Oh man, Hokuto </3. That flashback scene and Harutora running while crying was so sad. The song on that part was perfect. The ending scene was also nice. Really enjoyed this episode. |

| I'm confused about how I feel about this show. There are bits I really like and bits I can't stand. For start, no anger at Hokuto dying? Really? She was your best friend (alongside that guy) and love interest yet he didn't burst into anger when she was killed. Now, I know he'd have died as well if he confronted the evil little girl and not attacking certainly was rational decision, but I doubt ANYONE would be able to be rational at what just happened. It reminds of (somewhat) of Kaze no stigma, hell, if he gained powers after Hokuto died I'd call it identical, yet it doesn't make me feel as excited or eager to watch more as KnS did. So far the story is predictable, except for him becoming familiar, even by anime standards where most stories are similar. That wouldn't really be an issue if it was executed properly. Hokuto was cute and kind, but there just wasn't enough screen time for her so far to make her death really big deal. She was there just to move the plot forward, I hate those kind of characters. I don't hate the show, I just feel like something is missing to make it better. |

This has been an established writing technique that has been used in literature for thousands years. There nothing wrong with at all and just because Hokuto died does mean she wasn't likable or didn't have any character. | All seems a bit rushed and coincidental, like how Hokuto got in the way just as Harutora was in a pinch after not speaking in weeks but I still find this a great watch. I see the blonde girl becoming an ally of sorts in the future. |
| It hasn't been weeks since he last saw Hokuto, only a day. If were that long Natsume would have been back inTokyo by then. There also nothing odd with them meeting again either they live in the same town. |
| Hmm still not too sure what to think of this yet, but now that Harutora is Natsume's familiar now, things should get more interesting. It was quite the surprise that Hokuto was a shikigami, and sad that she died though. Btw that was a weird ceremonial thing that Natsume had to do to make Harutora her familiar. I was pretty mesmerized by what Harutora saw as well when he opened his eyes. Also, it's probably just me, but I found the animation a little weird when Harutora was running in the rain. |

| Damn that was deep for a second episode. Messed up how he had to lose one of his best friends to see the importance of his role. I think if Hokuto been in this episode a little more her death would had been a lot sadder. Still a good episode. Wonder if Harutora is going to kick Suzuka's ass next episode. Also did anybody else think how Natsume made Harutora into a familiar was hot? |

| Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |

Also, in the OP, they are placed in one frame, where it shows Natsume, then Hokuto when the image change. They are basically in the same position. That is why I think Hokuto is Natsume's shikigami. |

| That gave me some feels. That sucks, since I liked her character...was even shipping Harutora x Hokuto up until this episode ended. I wonder if Hokuto was I hope he starts kicking some ass from now on. Update: Didn't read post above mine before, but now that I did...still a sad panda, because she really had soul to her character. |

| i think this episode alone made me drop this from a 7 to a 6. seriously this mc is a fucking retard. oh lets be the nice guy and save the loli. oh wait, i just dived in front of her enraged monster to save some nobody and then the woman i neglected jumps in and sacrifice herself. but wait, that's not all. now ill change my mind and want to kill that loli cause it's all her fault! ok time to go and get dem powers to do so. yippee i got licked by my childhood friend and now i can see them funky lights. i shall seek my revenge! seriously? will watch show for dat loli. mc can fuck himself and go get his other childhood friend killed too cause hes a fucking retard. |

| Hokuto was a shikigami... WHAT?? That really surprised me. Actually expected Harutora to ask Natsume revive Hokuto or make another familiar like her. Too bad he didn't. That's such a pity, they looked so funny together. The blond girl is being stupid, i don't get her reasoning at all. What's the point of revivng someone precious to you and giving your life for it? Won't you normally think of revivng someone to be WITH him? Hope she won't end up becoming Baka-Tora's friend after they fight her. But her idea to put familiar inside Harutora during their kiss was brilliant. Nevertheless i do enjoy the show, it's one of the best anime airing this season. |

| That was actually a pretty damn good episode. I still don't know why some found the episode funny. And a few here are finding contradiction in Harutora's actions. I actually found his actions quite rational than most other MCs in anime. He was probably taking life a bit easy despite being related to spiritual phenomena or didn't really want to get involved due to his lack of spiritual powers. But after seeing Hokuto confessing to him in her final moments, passing away in his arms from an injury she took while trying to save him, and not even knowing that she had been a shikigami all along, there you have three big triggers to change his entire life. The way he stared back at Suzuka compared to when he was trying to sympathize her situation shows the impact it had on him surrounding the whole thing about Hokuto. Anyways, this episode was great in my book and I will give it a 5/5. The flashback scene was nicely done and I really am interested to know how Hokuto came to be. Whether she was ever a human or always a shikigami and who actually created her. To see her giving her life away for Harutora, I cannot but think that she was actually his familiar. The end scenes were interesting as well. Since Harutora now gave away his freedom and became Natsume's familiar. Upped my rating for this anime to an 8/10. Cannot wait to see more of this anime already and I am glad that another seemingly good anime will be running for two seasons! |

Yeah, i know they try to set up a tragic for the hero to rise thing BUT the way its done kinda lame in my opinion(trust me i love cliche in shonen anime). I hope after this ep i can get to watch some cool action scenes. |
