It was a pretty good episode. I liked how they showed more of Takamura's world ranking match in detail. You only see the article in the manga. They'll finally show Ippo and Martinez's spar in the next episode.

Especially when Martinez in Hajime no Ippo 2 Victorious Road is beyond the difficulty of any SNK boss.

Aw, crap, and I had finally forgotten about that too (though I only fought him on the Wii version). I had sore arms for like a day. Now I'm gonna have nightmares again.

Two things were particularly well done about this episode. Firstly, Miyata's panting was very realistic, just like a runner gasping desperately for air. Two, he apparently speaks English better than an "Australian".

And, as I "spoiled" last episode, the next fight is indeed Date vs. Martinez.

I'd have to agree with you. They didn't necessarily need to put that lengthy flashback, but honestly it was a bit refreshing. Hajime No Ippo FTW!

What, no poll?

I thought for sure that Miyata was going to lose, but surprise surprise.

Whereabouts is this in the manga? I honestly don't think I'll be able to wait until next week. This is just going to get so good, I know it.

EDIT: NVM, found it. We're like WAY behind with the anime. Like 500 episodes behind.

It looks like Ippo will be beaten up pretty badly by Ricardo.
