and since kaori's dead theres nothing much left for the guy to do, except join up with the samrt people coming up with the antivirus. antibacterial? idk.

this manga in general basically made me gag most of the time.

I have to agree, it IS the MOST disgusting manga I have ever read. Too bad the ending seems kinda empty, or maybe I'm glad it ended.

It was an alright series just the story was lacking. The art was dark, but there are always series like that.

The way the series was presented made me give it such a low score (3-5, not really sure which to pick), but it did have the potential. It could have gone in a wide range of story lines but in my option it was to narrow, plus people didn't like the type of art and lead it to being cancelled.

I really loved Gyo's catastrophic scenario; a dystopia where everything goes chaotic and there are just a few survivors.
The ending gives some kind of hope but we'd need to see if scientists from around the globe will unite to find a cure/solution to the rotten animals problem and most importantly, how are they going to manage food consumption / growing / feeding, because I bet they won't eat rotten animals which are stuck to crawling machines.
But in the end the manga's objective is to take that feeling of hopelessness and transmit it to the reader, goal which was achieved in an excellent manner.

I really liked how this series started out, even though Kaori was being annoying the whole time. The second half was okay, but I was pretty grossed out most of the time.

I loved it, and I thought it was amazing.

It was scary as hell because I was reading while listening to Jigoku Shoujo Mistuganae's OST, but the concept was new and interesting. I didn't find it particularly disturbing; it was more like a small itch? But then again, it's hard to find things to get under my skin, I guess. I loved the ending too; it was open enouh to let the reader interpret it, but still enough that well, it felt awkward or unfinished.

Overall I enjoyed it, there's still lots of unanswered question though, like why did it happen now and such?

If you know the smell of rotting meat, it makes the story a whole lot sicker.

I think the open ending fits perfectly into the overall atmosphere of the manga.

I really enjoyed the manga, but the ending was a bit too open. There's nothing wrong with an ending like that, I guess it's just my preference.

the ending was lacklustre. you can't simply end a series like this with something so simple and anticlimactic.

gyo wasn't a very good series in my opinion. sure, the creatures were disgusting and horrific, but beyond that what else was there? he tried to create these reasonings for everything yet nothing. what happened to the doctor's uncle? he made it out that he done some type of experimenting which lead to the mechanical legs, but in the end we find out that it was something bacterial, which to me just seems like a dumb reason because he didn't know what else to do.

i do not hate the series, simply pointing things out
