Is it just me or is [PM] subs way too slow when it comes to subbing this, like they release an episode every 2-3 weeks meaning we get further behind every week and before we know it X/Y will be 15 eps in and we won't see it for weeks after the airdate, do you guys think it will be a good idea if we asked another fansubber to continue the series, sure they do a good job subbing but other fansubbers are just more consistent and on time.

I understand that subbing is probably alot harder than it looks and people have time constraints but if others can do so many series on time then I don't see why [PM] are so slow

Because different people have different circumstances. If another fansubber wants to do this series, then they will do it; otherwise, if you have a problem with their speed, your only other real option is to learn the language yourself.

Please do take care in how you phrase what you say; despite your disclaimers, what you said came off as incredibly self-entitled and rude.

Ok even though you quoted my entire post it doesn't seem like you read all of it because I worded it in the nicest way possible, Pokemon has a french subber called [Saikou] who is more on time and regular than [PM], this is french we are talking about and I'm actually surprised that more groups don't want to do Pokemon.

The whole point of fansubbers so to provide the community with subs of anime because not everyone wants or "has the time" to learn the language, if a fansubber can't do regular releases then they shouldn't sub at all because being 7 eps behind is kinda annoying when your'e trying to keep up with the series, imagine if Naruto or One Piece was 7 weeks late, people would lose their shit.

The only reason noone has posted this is because they are afraid of being seen as "self centered and rude" by sensitive little twats like yourself who take shit the wrong way and on further inspection you have no right too talk about being rude when you called someone a noob for watching only 46 anime, I could call you a noob since I've seen 100+ more anime than you but I'm not going to because I'm not that petty.

I actually somewhat agree with you. While their subs are perfect quality and I don't think other groups could do as well as them, they are not just incredibley slow, but they don't even have a release schedule or a blog of some kind where they could inform about their progress. Sometimes they manage to release 1 episode / week, it happend that their released an episode a few days after the previous one, but very often it's like two weeks or so. Right now the last episode was released exactly 2 weeks ago.

Also, during the two weeks interval between episode 8 and 9, they released 8 episodes of DP. I'm sure there are people who'd like to watch the old DP episodes subbed, but wouldn't it be more useful to focus on the currently airing episodes?

And once I also dared to mention that I find their releases to be slow and irregular and people jumped at my throat immediately. I've been thinking about watching it RAW for a really long time now, I think I could follow what's going on, but otherwise would have absolutely no idea what exactly are they talking about, so I'd rather not. But unless we find some people who really like Pokémon, speak Japanese and are willing to devote a lot of time into this, I suppose we'll just have to deal with their speed or switch to RAW.

"I understand that subbing is probably alot harder than it looks and people have time constraints but if others can do so many series on time then I don't see why [PM] are so slow"

>Nicest way possible.

Not to mention- raising the issue itself is inherently rude, considering there is no reasonable goal to be attained from doing so. What do you plan to achieve? Convince people to boycott PM? There is literally NOTHING to be gained by complaining about it. Who would be willing to step up after seeing your post? Nobody, because they'd wind up thinking "well, if I wind up not possibly catering to all of his demands, he's just going to throw a bitch fit. Why should I even bother subbing for such a fanbase?". You have to realize that one person can potentially be a representative of the entire group of fans.

Dude, you should seriously check your attitude. Have you even considered /asking them/ why they're behind? Maybe there are personal issues at hand. Maybe school is hitting them hard. And hey, maybe they're just slowing down because people are complaining too much/assuming that circumstances are better than they are.

Speaking of assuming, your last paragraph is amusing. Did you even stop to consider that the person I was saying that to could possibly be, say, a friend of mine? There is more than one way to interpret every action, you know; don't be stuck on just one assumption.

(Spoiler: she is a friend of mine. Thought I'd made that obvious by the clearly forced incorrect spelling in our back-and-forth, but I suppose it was too subtle.)

@hakemo:
I think you get it all wrong. It's one thing that they are doing it for free for the fans, sacrificing their own free time for it (for which we are all very grateful), but still, shouldn't we be allowed to raise some complaints? No reasonable goal? Why would we want to boycott PM? And yes, there's something that could be gained. Like they could realise that they are already closer to the dub's release than the Japanese release. If it continues like this, the dub may surpass [PM] subs before XY starts airing.
Also, I don't see anything rude being said in the first post.

We're a fairly busy bunch. This summer has been busy for most of our staff in multiple different ways. We all have work and other related projects we are currently doing. As it was stated above, we finished the DP HD sub pack earlier which was a priority.

Thanks for the reply.
Do you think you could start a blog, where you could post what you're currently working on and possible ETAs? Or something similar, because what I find the most frustrating is that your releases are totally irregular.
Also, is there any chance you might catch up with the episodes before XY starts?

We don't have a release schedule and never have because we never know staff availability. We'd rather not set times/dates and then miss them.

We will be caught up before XY starts for sure.

I see. Thanks for the information and for all your past/present/future work. And sorry if anything I said might have seemed rude, offensive or ungrateful.

As for you my little shitstain, you want attitude then you have attitude, I was NOT being rude but mainly concerned to as of why the subs are coming out slowly, I posted this thread because noone else had the guts to do so because they were obviously afraid of being flamed by overly sensitive shitstains such as yourself.

AS YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE it payed off because we got a reply from the people themselves because previous contact would be impossible due to lack of website/blog etc.

if you raise the point then a response is always possible, might wanna keep that in mind b4 you start flaming people because your overly sensitive ego tells you to

Yes, sorry we know we've been a bit slower than our normal slowness, but some of our main staff including myself have had a busy couple months, and other project commitments have kept us busy. We did put up a blog though which can be accessed at: pocketmonsters-fansubs.blogspot.com

We will also be skipping ahead starting with next week's episode, XY3, in an attempt to stay a bit more current, and instead finish off the remainder of BW as we find the time.

Ok i think its about time they need a proper schedule to post new subs (Ive had enough i mean ENOUGH of the delay/waiting in producing subs) I know its very late of me to post here but i think the Pokemon Anime should get another fansub group to do since PM takes an awfully long time. Hey, i thought new episodes come out like 1-2 days after airing the raw ones. Dont expect us to watch it raw and understnd almost nothing from the show. Sorry if i am rude but i can be impatient and im kinda pissed cause i cant seem to get when the new episodes comes out. At first i thought it was on thursday , then friday , until i got confused. The subs are dreat i must say. but please make a fixed schedule where everyone at the group is present to do so. Because im sure everyone is really fed with waiting a long time.
