| "I think so. He just needs to remember how much fun he had and then he'll shape up quite quickly." Alistair gave a mischievous grin. |
| "Indeed I do. I almost always do." |
| "Well I'm glad I'm entertaining someone besides myself." |
| Alistair smiled and took another sip of the blood from his glass. |
| "What are you reading?" Alistair asked. |
| "Hm, not many people I know still read poetry." |
| "Hm, you know I believe Lucas has an affinity for poetry." |
| "I think he prefers Poe." Said Alistair. "Honestly I've never had the patience for poetry. Although I do appreciate it I suppose." |
| Alistair drained his glass and leaned back on the couch. |
| Alistair got up and put his glass in the sink. |
| "I'm going to go upstairs for a little bit." He said, eyeing the staircase. |
| "Me? Trouble? Pfft." Alistair scoffed as he went up the stairs. |
| Alistair came up to Lucas' room. The door, of course, was locked. He knocked anyway. "Lucas," "Go away." Was the muffled reply. "Well, goodnight to you too." He said, retreating to his own room. |
| Alistair lay down on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. |
| 'I wonder how tomorrow will go...' Alisatair thought. |
| Alistair heard her playing. 'Hm,' he thought. 'I didn't know she could play.' |
| 'It sounds quite nice.' |
| Alistair turned over and listened, enthralled. |
| 'I might have to ask her to play more often.' |
| Deciding there was no point in trying to sleep, Alistair got up and headed back downstairs. "That was pretty." He said to Evangeline. |
| "I've never had much luck at the piano, although I remember having violin lessons for a few years starting in eighteen seventy..." |
| Alistair shrugged. "I was. I don't think I've played in fifty some odd years though." |
| Alistair leaned over her spot on the couch. "Maybe another time." He said. |
| "It's ultra formal. Like, more-formal-than-your-prom-dress formal. I think it's for his 50th anniversary or something. I can't quite remember, but anyway he's making a big deal of it." |
| "Make sure you surprise me." Said Alistair, grinning. |
