| Death starts walking down the sidewalk towards the town looking for a few places to make his hideouts. |

| Death wasn't paying attention to where he was going and bumped into Zero. |

| Death looks down at Zero and with his Shinigami Eyes saw Zero's name and death date. So this kid's name is Zero Newman, I'll have to keep an eye on him. "I was the one who wasn't paying attention, it's actually my fault." |

| Death also saw Trent's car drive by, he wasn't able to see Trent's face so he couldn't see his name. He looks at Zero. "Well, Zero it's nice to meet you. My name is Gene Martin." |

| Death grins. "Well, I just arrived here in Japan. I've always heard what a great place this was and I wanted a change of scenery." The Ross twins walked down the sidewalk, two blocks away from Death and Zero, heading for school. |

| Death looks at Zero. "I never said anything about being a murder. I'm just a simple traveler." The Ross twins didn't notice Trent was watching them. Aki walks outside of the apartment building and leaned up against the wall. "Well, it's nice to take a break." She then saw the Ross twins walk by her. "Heading to school?" Yuki looks at Aki. "Hey, yeah we are." Hikaru smiles. "So, we thought you would be busy working on your short story." Aki looks at them. "My boss texted me and told me to take a break. Anyway you two better hurry to school." The Ross twins nod. "Okay." They then started to walk to school again. |

| Aki looks at the car and walks over to it. "Hi." The Ross twins continue to walk to school. Death looks at Zero. "I'm not bad, I just like to do things my own way. Speaking of which shouldn't you be going to school as well?" |

| Aki looks at Trent. "Well, I'm suppose to be taking a short break from my work." Death looks at Zero. "Ah, I see. Well, I must be going." |

| Death smirks. "You sure you want to follow me?" Aki smiles. "My name is Aki. What's yours?" |

| Death was now wishing he didn't bump into this kid. "Fine, but never question my actions or where I go." Aki leans on Trent's car window. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Trent." |

| Aki wasn't sure what to do. She had a deadline to meet tonight and she was afraid that her boss would fire her. If that happened then she would have to find a new boss. "Um... okay." Aki gave in and got in the car. Death started walking away from the car. "Come on Zero, let's find a place to stay." |

| Aki looks at Trent. "Where are we going?" Death had to resist the urge to smirk. He managed to keep his face stotic. "Is that so, sounds like one hell of a guy." |

| Aki looks out the window as she begins to think. "Hmm, I don't really know where I want to go." She didn't want to tell him her last name yet so she used her mother's maiden name. "It's Hashimoto." Death was curious about what else had been going on in Japan. "Kira? That's translates into Killer doesn't it?" He soon comes across an abandoned house that looks like it hasn't been lived in for years. The good news was that the house was still in good condition. "Let's stay here." |

| Aki looks at Trent. "Why did you stop?" Death looks at Zero. "Is that so. Well, so am I." He walks around back and opens the door. Well, that was easier than I thought. |

| Aki sighs. "It's okay, I've gotta get my laptop and head down to the newspapers anyway. After I turn in this short story maybe we can try again." (Death's Hideouts for Death and Zero now.) |

| Aki looks at Trent. "Thank you. Could you wait here while I go get my laptop?" |
|
| Aki gets out and runs to her apartment to get her laptop. |
|
| Aki comes running out of the apartment building and got back in the car. "Okay, I need to get to the newspaper office." |
|
| Aki buckles up and places her laptop on her lap. |

| Aki nods. "Yes, I have a cat named Miyuki." |

| Aki wasn't prepared for Trent to drive this fast. |

| Aki looks at Trent. "What's wrong?" |
|
| Aki looks to the right. "Make a right here, it's down that street." |
|
| Aki looks at the man that was on the sidewalk next to the car. She pulls over and get out of the car to check on the man. Aki starts to feel for a pulse, but didn't find one. "He's dead." She took her phone out and quickly snapped a picture, then typed down the time and date he died. Aki then got back in the car and continued to drive around. |
