| I've had a few people very strongly recommend it. It has a fairly high rating here on MAL. I have rather broad tastes and can get in to almost anything. However this series is completely and utterly failing to capture my interest. I'm ~half way (given latter episodes are half length) through it and it's just boring me. Kuyuchi keeps telling me to just "keep watching! :D" as if something really awesome is going to happen... but it hasn't yet. I dislike all of the characters. The setting is pretty silly. The animation is average for its age. Just nothing about it compels me to watch. I really hate dropping series, but this one has me tempted unless somebody can explain (spoil) what's so great about it and why it's worth finishing. |
| Um. Well. I think the latter half of the series is its strong point--most of the character development and, hell, the meat of the story is there. Up 'til now you've been just picking away at the skin. :D |

| Yeah, I love Princess Tutu (Fakir <3) and a lot of stuff happens in the latter half, once they get past the 'monster of the day' stuff of the first half and they dig deeper into the original fairytale, and it gets darker. But the show is not meant for everyone! |

| Hahahahaha, Half Film Maker was a NICE animation, the BEAUTIFUL and EPIC soundtrack composed by the master Kaoru Wada is INCREDIBLE. I think, one of the most beautiful soundtracks of an anime. The characters are incredibely develpment in the series, and they're absolutely EPIC. The story was the best part, I have watched until the episode 13 (first season) and I can say that the "final" was one the most beautiful episodes that I have ever seen... perfect in ALL sense of the word: music fitting perfectly, dialogues very very strong and interesting and a develpment absolutely captivating. This is more that a typical magical shoujo, this is one of the most incredibles animes that I hyave ever seen... absolutely recommended, I think you MUST give to it a second opportunitie, definitively. |
| At first I thought the same,but it grabbed my attention it also made my cry a lot,I love this series a lot,the first season is the happy ending the second is where you see the suffering,and just like one of the characters pointed out it is what makes the story more interesting I also find the anime quite funny it all depends in you taste if you don't like ballet music then that could be part of the problem it all depends on what kind of animes you like. |

| -It's an original Mahou Shoujo -It has believable characters -It is more than what it seems -The plot is bloody amazing and ALSO original -One of the greatest atmospheres ever(feels magical) -Has charm So yeah. Watch it. It's the best mahou shoujo ever made. |
