| She answers him with a "yes" in a slightly sad and angry voice. |

| He opens the door and walks in. He walks over to the bed and sits at the end of it. "Can I ask you whats wrong, Kohaku?" he asks, slightly worried about her. |

| Without moving from laying on her side and without looking at him she says "I guess I am lonely." |
|
| He thinks for a moment then says, "Well, would you like to explore the forest with me? I'll go with you if you promise not to try running away again." he says with a grin |
|
| She sighs and says "I really dont know what I want to do." |
|
| he places a hand on her leg near her foot and says "Well, when you decide if there is anything you want to do, just let me know. Perhaps we can work something out that will allow you to visti your parent often?" he finishes with a smile. |

| She continues to lay there without looking up or opening her eyes because she was trying to hold back tears. |
|
| He gets up and starts to walk out the door. "If you need anything, just let me know" he says as he leaves. |
|
| Once he exits the door the tears start to stream out of her eyes. |
|
| He stands outside her door and lets out a heavy sigh. He wanted her to like him, to be able to talk to him. He didn't want to be like the other slavers who forced their slaves to do things, he wanted her to feel like she could do as she pleased, withing the given guidelines. |

| She curls up into a ball. |
|
| She hears a squeek and sees a mouse running along the wall. Outside, lazarus was trying to think of what he could do to cheer her up. |
|
| Her ears perk up and she looks at it. She then starts to cry more and more loudly because the mouse reminds her of home. |
|
| There is a knock on her door. "Kohaku? Are you all right?" |
|
| She tries to quiet her crying but cant quiet it very much. |
|
| He walks in and over to her bed. He sits down and asks again, "what's wrong, Kohaku?" |
|
| Between her sobs she says "I miss my h-home." |
|
| He pulls her to him nd hugs her warmly. "You'll be able to ereturn to your home when the contract is up, but until then, we can modify your existing contract to allow you an escorted visit once a week, if you like." He says quietly |
|
| "Th-that might make my stay here a bit better." |
|
| He kisses her softly on the forehead. "When would you like your first trip to be?" He asks |
|
| "I dunno" |
|
| "Well, whenever you want to go, just tell me" he said with a soft kiss on her lips. "We'll go whenever you want" |
|
| Her ears go back from the kiss and she looks at him confused. |
|
| He pulls back and smiles at her warmly. "I just want you to be happy while you stay here." |
|
| "I still dont understand why you did that." |
|
| "Honestly,neither do I" he says, blushing bright pink. "But I must say, I found it pleasant" |
|
| "I thought you said you were a demon. Why would you find that pleasant?" |
|
| "Are demons not allowed to feel pleasure?" He asks. "I find ileasure watching animals walk past, in the changing of the seasons...and I find pleasure in looking on your beauty." He finishes with a smile. |
|
| While blushing bright red she says angrily "Your weird then." |
|
| "Can I ask why you think that makes me weird?" He asks inquisitively. |
|
| She angrily responds with "your a demon. It makes no sense!" |
|
| "Different demons take pleasure in different ways, granted most of then destroy things for that pleasure, but a small amount of us take pleasure in life and beauty...and of course, there's always bodily pleasure" he says the last part softly |
|
| She blushes again but this this time says nothing because she was at a loss for words. |
|
| He reaches out and caresses her cheek with a smile. He gets up and says think on those words, okay? By the way, are you hungry? Lunch is almost ready." |
|
| SHe frowns. "I guess." She then gets up and follows him |
|
| He smiles and leads her to the dining hall. "Do you not like my home?" He asks "I've tried to make it with any comfort anyone could want." He leads her into the dining room. There are plates of roast meat, vegetables, and fruits. "Help yourself" he says. |
|
| As they walk she says "Im not everyone." Once in the dining room she looks at the meat and licks her lips. She quickly walks over to it and tears a large piece of it off. She then starts to eat it as she picks out a chair to sit in. She decides to take the chair closest to the food.. Once she sits down she also grabs an apple because it looked good to her. She now has the apple in one hand and the meat in the other. |

| He watches her eat and smiles. I wonder if the rest of her village afts like this as well. He'd have to ask her when she was done eating. |
|
| She scarfs down the food. She never got to eat this much back home and didnt want to waste any of it either. After her first apple and piece of meat were gone she grabs more meat and a handful of raspberries. With an empty mouth she asks for water. |
|
| He gets up and pours a glass of water and sets it in front of her. "Have you ever had milk, my dear?" He asks |
|
| She quickly drinks some of the water. Between her chewing she says "of course I have." |
|
| "Would you prefermilk over water?"He asks, geturing to a pitcher. |
|
| "Yeah I would, But I dont think I can eat any more." |
|
| He pours her a small glass of milk and hnds it to her |
|
| She takes it and takes a sip.She then turns to him. "How can you get all this food?" |
|
| "I have maids and butlers that get things for me." he says. "If there is anything you would like, just let me know and I'll have someone get it for you." He smiles at her and wonders if she will take him up on the offer. |
|
| "Oh okay." She sits there looking at the food. She then finishes her milk and stands up. She looks over to Lazarus. "What now?" |
|
| He looks at her and says "What do you want to do. Today is all about your enjoyment. Just name something and we will do it." |
|
| "I dont know." |
|
| "well, then, let us go to the forest." he says. "I know I denied you last time, but I think you will behave this time, so let us away" |
