| "Must be pretty important." Kenta said looking at her. |

| "It is..." Said Maggie. "My fiancé is dying from an illness that cannot be cured where I live. I'm hoping to find a cure for him." |
| "I see." Kenta said in a blank tone again. "I hope you'll be successful." |

| "So so I." |
| "Well, he's a lucky guy to have a fiance that's trying so hard for him." Kenta gave a slight smirk, then went back to his usual blank face. |
|
| "If anyone really loved someone, they would do anything for them." |
| "Guess you're right." Kenta said blowing out a puff of smoke again. However he couldn't understand completely as he never really had felt the type of love she spoke of. |
|
| "We've known each other since we were kids." Said Maggie, not noticing Trent. "I care about him more than anyone else in the world." |
| "Hm..." Kenta looked at her. "Ya' kinda remind me of a kid I met once, in his late teens. Had the same motivation you do, though his situation was different." |
|
| "Oh? Well, it never hurts to have motivation." |
| Kenta glanced back. "That a friend of yours Maggie?" He asked. |
|
| "Huh?" She turned and saw Trent. "What on earth are you doing?! You'll hurt yourself like that! Are you so stupid that you can't even lie in bed for one night when you're so obviously hurt?!" She exclaimed angrily. |
| "You probably should lay down... Though I don't really have room to talk, I've gone to get some groceries after getting stabbed before." Kenta said recalling the incident. |

| "Oh yes, that's helpful." Said Maggie. "Honestly Trent! Are you stupid?!'' |
| Kenta stared at them. "You know by how you're acting people might assume he's your fiance." He pointed out. |
|
| Maggie scoffed. "Hardly, he's just some idiot who walked in here half dead and asked me if I'd help him up to his room. Now he's demanding all sorts of things. I'm not his babysitter. I have more important things to do." |
| "Maybe he got drunk, got in a fight, and lost." Kenta thought aloud, though it wasn't really directed towards anyone. "Well, that's true. You have your priorities, but it's not like he can make you give in to his demands or anything so I don't see why you're getting so upset." |

| "It's just the fact that he's acting like an idiot. It annoys me." |
| "Well, us guys are known for our moments of stupidity." Kenta blew out a puff of smoke again. |

| Maggie laughed slightly. "I suppose." |
| "It could be his adrenaline is still going so he can't feel much, or he's tryin to show off." Kenta looked at him again. |
|
| "Maybe, but it does't make me any less annoyed." |
| "Do you know him that well?" Kenta asked her. |
|
| "Not at all. I just met him tonight. It kind of feels like he's a stalker or something." |
| "If you feel like he's a stalker, don't ya think its strange to be worried about him?" Kenta asked as he blew out a puff of smoke again. |
|
| "I'm not really worried, I just think it's silly to be doing what he is." |
| "Well, maybe he's got a reason. Oh well. Another beer." Kenta told the bartender which brought him another bottle. |
|
| Maggie just sat there. She asked for a glass of wine, but once she got it she barely drank any of it. |
| Opposed to Maggie, he drank all of it soon after it was brought. After he took the final swig he spoke. "Not much of a drinker are you?" |
|
| "Once in a while, but it reminds me too much of the past..." |
| "That's strange, considering more people drink alcohol to forget the past." Kenta said blankly. |
|
| "Yeah I know. Silly, isn't it?" |
| Kenta chuckled slightly. "Well, everyone has something that reminds them of stuff, good or bad I guess." |
|
| "It's not bad, it just makes me a little sad to think about it sometimes." |
| Kenta just ordered another beer, drinking it all not long after. |
|
| "I miss the past..." |
| "So that's what it is." Kenta said taking a swig of the beer. |
|
| "Yeah. My parents died when I was younger from a weird virus or something. No one in our town knew what it was or how to deal with it. They were sick for five years and then they died. Now my fiancé is sick too; he has been for four years and if it's anything like it was with my parents, he doesn't have long left." |
| "How close are you to actually finding a cure?" Kenta asked. |

| "Not very, I'm sorry to say." Maggie replied, her voice heavy with sadness. "I can't believe I've let him down. " |

He said blowing out a puff of smoke. "I know you may say something like 'It's not that easy,' but the guy who said it's not over til it's over wasn't lying. If you start thinking of the negatives, you really will let him down. And if you keep struggling til the end, well, who knows." |

| Aki looks at Trent. "I have some food in my bag. Do you want it?" |
|
| Aki stands up. "Yes, I want you to have it. I'll be right back." She ran down the hall to her room and got her bag. Aki then returned and walked back over to Trent. Pulling the food out of her bag she looks at Trent and smiles. "Choose whatever you want." |

| "So what exactly are the symptoms of this disease? And you know exactly what it does to the body?" Kenta asked. "I'm not a doctor or anything, but I've been to lots of places maybe I've encountered someone with it before or something." |
