First of all, I've had someone mention to me about a week ago that one of the cast interviews hint at an "anime original" ending-- can anyone back this up? (The only things I've understood from the interviews were a couple of characters/words here and there which look the same in Chinese)
Otherwise, for those who have played and completed the game, which ending(s) was/were your favourite, and which one(s) do you think they'll use in the anime?
I think the most logical ending at the moment would be a mix between Daichi's Way and A New World (which I consider to be MC's Way). It would be nice to see everyone in the world remaining alive + not having to leave in fear of the same situation occurring again in the future. However, it would have to screw around with the canon a little in terms of what has to happen if AO were to take over as the admin. Even though I like Ronaldo and Yamato perfectly fine, Ronaldo's inability to completely think things through and Yamato's bad attitude kind of turns me off from their endings (although it's not like AO thinks things through completely either).
Also: Does anyone else think that the symbolism with the King pieces (avec Yamato et Anguished One) could possibly be alluding to the Kingmaker/A New World ending?
Sorry for minor grammatical mistakes. I need to get this keyboard replaced.
I followed Yamato path and i don't know about the others, but it would probably be my favorite. If i was in the MC shoes i would have chosen him.
Despite his bad attitude i actually agree with him, and he was the most deserving one to meet polaris, if it wasn't for him you would probably had no chance against the septentriones or the void. Ronaldo did almost nothing to deserve it (he just helped in 1 battle) and daichi was like "we need to do something else! but i don't know what..."
Anyway im pretty sure the MC won't support yamato in the anime, he will probably join daichi on friday. I don't really know what follows after that, but it seems to be 2 endings? (daichi or anguished one)
I really like Alcor's ending, but I had a huge problem with it, as
essentially all of humanity aside from the main party die off, along with Yamato and Ronaldo. While I wouldn't mind much if it were only the latter, having only the 10 (assuming you saved everyone else) to repopulate the rest of the world seems a bit stark to me.
Ultimate harem route? Ahaha.
I'll look forward to seeing which members of the cast they're going to kill off. It would seem cheap if nobody dies.

The game gave no indication that humanity died. The common theory is that they've been restored - I like to think that some people were even revived. Alcor
does control the Akashic Record. If Polaris can restore humanity, then so can Alcor.
I agree with xFelipe... even though I'm also a fan of Alcor. I'd like too see Alcor's ending.
The problem with Daichi's is that
it leaves humanity defenseless. The Akashic Record just sits there waiting to be hijacked by the next SMT horror slash god wanting a slice of the pie.
Edit: Also, 'potential' spoilers? We're discussing the ending!

Yeah; Daichi Liberator is the only route where it's explicitly stated that the damage done by Polaris and the void couldn't really be reversed, and that was because the MC & co. killed the two beings that could fix things. Alcor loves humanity enough that I doubt he'd leave all those people dead if he could help it, and if he could create a whole new world without the void or anything, he'd likely have the power to recreate humanity.
Combine that with the fact that he wouldn't have any reason to try and restart the world again like Polaris, and you have what's probably the best route in the long-term, even if a couple potential party members had to die along the way. Personally, it was my favorite route and the only one I really agreed with, and I'd love to see it animated.

You're talking about mixing Liberator and New World if they went for an anime original ending, right? I guess that would work if the animators wanted a true "happy end", with humanity free of Polaris and Yamato and Ronaldo still alive and kicking, but that would make the problems I had with Daichi's routes even worse. It always rubbed me the wrong way how he went into the fight to face Polaris with no concrete plans and somehow managed to get the "true ending" of the game (or at least the one with the fewest party member deaths, an epilogue, and a huge point bonus if you got Triumphant).
It was somewhat fine in the game because that lack of forethought could get you Liberator, which was probably the closest thing to a bad end this game had, or at least an ending where humanity's still stuck at the whim of Polaris even if that particular disaster was averted. If they mixed in New World to his route and maybe had Hibiki persuade Alcor instead of fighting him, it would lead to a purely good ending, and I'm not sure if Daichi & co. should really get that all things considered.

I'm not sure if I'd agree that Yamato "deserved" to change the world most out of all of them because of how helpful he was. Sure he was the most effective in fighting the Septentriones compared to Daichi or Ronaldo, but neither of them had the information or technology to do so like Yamato did. Alcor could have easily fed their families information centuries ago, and they would have taken his place as leader of the JP's or something similar instead.
His main advantage over them would come more from how much he cared about his ideals, versus Ronaldo who always seemed to have more of a superficial interest in his justice compared to how much he wanted to stick it to Yamato or Daichi who didn’t really have any to begin with, but that wasn’t exactly healthy for him anyway. The other routes where the MC challenged and beat him and his ideals were better for his growth as a person (mostly anyway; the fact that he lost to the MC and Alcor in New World just made him more bitter and well... you know...). I like Yamato because he’s such a horribly flawed and interesting character, but that’s exactly why I enjoyed seeing him change a bit for the better. That and I didn’t really agree with his ideals to begin with, so I wasn’t too keen on his route.
It was still better than Ronaldo’s route with his idealized plan to brainwash people into equality, though. Megaten sure does love its brainwashing law routes, and I haven’t found one I liked going through. There were a few scenes in it that made it worth doing, though, and if they have to kill off a certain character, I’d love it if they went with that version, even if it would be kind of out of character in the New World route.
Though yeah, Restorer/Triumphant or New World seem the most likely from the PVs and just in general. I can't see manga Hibiki going with Merit, and they haven't focused enough on the other guy to go for Equality, not that I'm complaining.
But I don't really see the point in doing that, the show doesn't seem like they have enough space to squeeze in more plot than they already have.

but if it's what you said, why daichi's still saying "work is for losers"?
in "golden ending" it's said that he's concerning to go to college without being nervous though...
These and the fact that
iirc Io asked MC out. Basically everybody already had their character development which seems not to be the case for the anime
are the evidences against the new game+ theory.
Seeing that this is only 13 episode, it seems highly unlikely. Although it would be really interesting as MC would be forced to choose a decisive end and controversial end (Law, Chaos, AO) since
choosing golden end (which is the most likely path the anime is going to end up with if the theory is false) will just lead to the events repeating again.
Anyway from the OP looks like
Ronaldo's path is out of the question as Alcor and Yamato gets more screentime.
It will be Daichi Triumphant. It's the one with the wholesome message. Especially regarding Ronaldo and Yamato. Alcor's route has to many sour tones that leave me very uncomfortable.
razisgosu said: Given the main character's early responses and reactions, I almost smell a Law ending. I really hope not because I really did NOT like the Law ending.
The real law one or the one people are calling the law one, the egalitarian one, because "meh Ronaldo is the nice person here!"?
