It might not be a good idea of Fuwari to tell Ruri her story with Fuwa.

Fuwari was not the person that rejected Fuwa Rito.

She said she was the one who was responsible for him turning out like that. If you take another look at the scene where he got rejected by the girls from middle school from chapter1, there is a girl in the back of the group with twin braids and glasses. I believe that was Fuwari. The person who directly rejected Rito was someone else.

The girl who rejected Fuwa Rito said that she was only playing around, and that she had to do it because of a dare from a rock-paper-scissors game. I think Fuwari said she was responsible for him turning out like that because she was part of the group and didn't stop the cruelty of the girls, or she was the one who suggested the idea for the loser of rock paper scissors to play with his feelings in the first place.

This is all speculation btw.

I'm pretty sure Fuwari was the one that 'confessed' to Fuwa back then but was still a very shy girl and her friends dared her to do it or something so maybe that's why she was standing behind them.
