This is probably going to be the most contested thread, since people get pretty steamed off of anime sometimes. Since we've got a pretty level-headed group, though, things should turn out ok. So, which anime do you think should be adapted? Which do you think is too holy to touch?

Personally, I think Hellsing could do really well with an American audience. People are going to say "OH GOD NO!!!" but I don't care because it really would/could do well. They're already doing the Blood movie, so why not Alucard? Then again, who could play him?

Also, Vampire Hunter D has been seeing a whole lot of action lately. With its new manga and books, its been turning up just about everywhere. Perhaps is this a sign of an adaptation in the making? Who knows, but I love VHD, so I'd probably see it if it had some credentials.

I know I'm a Shirow freak, but with the way that Appleseed is becoming so popular, I think it will probably get picked up by WarnerBros for an adaptation. They seem to be leading the other companies in that sort of thing right now, and they already have the rights to publish it, so why not?

FMA could never work, because its too darned long, but I would love to see some transmutations in real life.

Personally I don't think anime should by adapted in to live action movies. a lot of animes are to complex or complicated to be crammed into a movie. However if they have to make live action adaptations, I think a live action mini series would be best.

Anyway Escaflowne is one anime a wouldn't mind seeing a live action adaptation of.

I believe they're working on one, although all I've seen are pieces of concept art. I'll try to dig them back up and put them in the pictures.

anything like ninja scroll, samurai champloo, etc. relativly light on the special effects, and somewhat more realistic. the hardest part about the movies would only be the fight scenes so it should be easier to pull off and look awesome.

I'm interested in these rumors of a GitS live action movie. I wouldn't mind seeing Welcome to the N.H.K done.
