since this is P3 related i have few questions.

1. is it necessary to get all the social links?

2. is it necessary to max every single social links?

3. should i max first the social link of a specific girl that im currently dating in order to date another girl?

This isn't a game topic but whatever.

1. It is not. However, the link level benefits leveling in fusions, so the more, the better.

2. It is not. However, maxing a social link gives you access to the ultimate persona of each arcana, not to mention the previous point. Level 10 gives you 5 bonus levels in a fusion.

3. That's not required. However, be careful when dating more than one girl at a time. As long as their link is above a certain level (5-7, it depends on the girl but the game tells you when for each of them), they might get "jealous" - aka. the link gets "reversed", which takes you precious time to fix. That will happen if you don't see the girl for 60 days, though such limit will drop by 15 days by each girl you see in the mean time. Meaning you can date at max 3 girls (above those levels) at the same time.

about the gain of access to the ultimate persona, how can i get them?

as for the dating the girls with their social links, i still some questions.

1. is it possible to max all of their social links?

2. is it safe to date another girl once i maxed the previous social link of the previous girl?

3. is it safe to ignore the girl probably forever if their social link is below rank 5?

4. what does "getting reversed" means?

1. Yes it is possible but much easier on the second play through

2. If you have maxed on girl it is safe to move on to another

3. No, if you ignore someone too long their card gets reversed

4. When they are reversed you lose any bonus that you had towards fusion. You have to talk to that person a few times and apologize in order to fix it. If someone calls you on the phone and you accept then later deny, it will also reverse the card.

oh. i heard your maxed social links were retained also but the in-progress/not yet maxed not.

also, someone said you can not carry over anything when you are going to the maniac mode. is that true? ps: i beat the normal mode at the moment.

Well I missed this thread but I highly recommend you follow a P3 guide to max social links there's a lot of events you can miss that are required for you to max out particular social links that's why it's important to have multiple saves.
Also maxing social links is the only way to obtain the unique persona such as Messiah , however them being unique doesn't mean their the best but having them as options is really cool

I recommend you don't try to max social links on first play through. It's far too restrictive, and you'll be kicking yourself when you mess up on some slightly randomized events (like studying making you sick) and be forced to reset the game far more than necessary. Maxing social links isn't really needed to beat the game. In fact, I recommend against trying to get all the Ultimate personas because the final boss doesn't really scale with your level. When I got to the boss, my guys were so OP that it couldn't even touch me and I could one-hit kill it.
