THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
That was probably one of the better episodes of this series.

Again, Revy is SO FUCKING COOL.

The swordsman cutting the bullet in half was neat, although unrealistic.

By far the best part was when whats-his-face got his hand cut off and then throw in the pool. That sure is someway to die. I couldn't stop laughing though (morbid ... I know).

Jumbo cutting the bullet in half was like -HOLYSHIT-
Then you sit back and think about how unrealistic it is...but don't really care that much.

They really make you hate that guy until the very end don't they...

That was the best episode ever.

Jumbo with that sword and cutting the bullet in half was so f*ckin' awesome.

I love the heavy accents when they speak in English. Its great.

Revy's always so badass.

Of course Revy is badass!!! Kind of a more involving episode specially with Rock's internal struggle with his "side" of good or bad.

For an action show, Black Lagoon sure does have some heavy themes. I like that..

Revy was on killing-mode: 'No one's getting out of here alive.'
and that guy she threw through the door against the pillar should have warned the damn yakuza that they're gonna get it... they're hopeless, how did they even made it this far in the mob society?... and that blondie guy, he had to die >:)
O_o so this is going to be a 7 episodes arc? that's unexpected, coming from a show that never had something that lasted more than 4...

That was a great episode - however i can only wish they incorporated Benny and Dutch more in this season, though i'm guessing they will either appear in the last two episodes (unlikely) or return in full form for series 3.

I don't mind the lack of realism in this show, it's entertaining and can still present the side that get's me thinking as well. I couldn't stop smiling during that gun fight in the alley.

I liked how that guy died too. Quality.

What Yukio said to Rock, i agree. Rock is my favourite character from this series, and i have always been thinking that he hasn't moved in his mind at all. He wants to get away from the dark and dirty life, whilst also running away from his origin, he's truly fucked, he needs to choose or else it will keep him in a state quite like purgatory, no heaven, no hell.

I think Rock is alright where he's standing. He's more neutral than anything else. Even though he's in the underground business, he's more rational than your average thug and tries to see the good in people. Yukio was harsh towards him. I wanted to slap her shit silly.

Things are getting even better.
Blondie died slowly and painfully, just as I wished :D Revy even didnt want to kill him, he was unworthy of being killed by her. Dumbass, he thought that Revy would follow his rules, her kick was awesome!

Also, she went completely berserk.

I miss Benny and Dutch, I hope they will appear.
And Rock finally did something, yay!
Altrough his struggle was serious thing... I think he finally undestood Revy a little.

An action-packed first half with amazing moves and a second half with amazing dialogue and a shocking resolve, poor Yuki.

Brilliant episode.

Yukio's putting out there what Revy has been trying to say to Rock all this time. He has to stop living with one foot in the darkness and one in the light. It'll be great to see how Rock actually decides to go with this.

Wow, that ending dialogue with Yukio and Rocky was so good. The dialogue was very insightful and thought-provoking. Does anyone know if that was from a real philosopher? Based off all their other references to real historical events, people, and things, I'm guessing it was based off a real philosopher.

I can see why Yukio might hate Rocky but I thought there were stronger reasons to hate him than being jealous of being able to choose. Rocky making her into a victim of the environment minimizes the choice she made and life she was giving up. It's belittling. Secondly, her criticism that he was unable to choose is also a stronger reason to hate him. He can't make up his mind, that would piss off someone that made that choice and giving up that life. I'd probably rank being jealous as the lesser reason to hate Rocky. It's sad though, I was wishing they'd still be friends but I don't think that will happen. :(

The contrast of Yukio in her old life and new life were really good. >.< What a dark theme though.

On a lighter note, the part where that guy was trying to give up was so funny. "Give, give...- What you trying to give me baby? Give it to me already *bang*" xD Cept for the engrish accent it was pretty hot. xD

And every time I saw Gin cut hands off I wince in my mind lol. @.@ Ouch? My hands. T.T

Time to Live Forever Baby!!!!!!!

Chaka got his hands cut off and let off to die in the pool.

fucking deserve that bastard.

and yeah Nuki has a point, while Rock seemingly choose to the underworld side. he still hasn't fully gone yet, just like what Revy said that it's been a year now and he has yet to kill or steal anything(same for Benny).

i think she's just angry that a person like Rock who refuses to choose either side is is just being neutral, but she has to make a choose as soon as possible or else she and Gin will die.

i cannot wait on how Balalaika will end this.

will she off the hook them for the first time???

also did Revy's boosoms got bigger :D

lol at Revy

"you wanna give it to me or not??"

love Toyoguchi Megumi voice!!!!!

she's hot too :)

Revy was very cool in this episode and so was the swordsman. On the other hand that Yukio bitch is annoying, she sure is talking big for a little girl. It was hilarious how the heir can be kidnapped by a bunch of punks with baseball bats. If thats the best yakuza can do, then let the russians have fun.

Hahahahaha true
She did have a point about Rock being in the middle without really taking sides but I don't see why we have to put a label to everything and take sides in the first place. Every time he is acting according to his own morals and conscience. Yes he is avoiding to choose between his past and current lifestyle but he doesn't have to be either a bad or a good guy. No one is either anyway. Absoluteness is something unapproachable and that is for the best. But I can excuse her for just being jealous of his freedom to "choose".
Anyways, Revy was awesome as always, Ginji was epic and Rock with the broom was really funny.Plus, I liked very much the flashback scene of Balalaika, how the shadows of the trees resembled her future scars...

how many recaps and redundant exposition could they squeeze in here?

The previous 3 episodes were mostly plot/dialogue too (nothing wrong with that...) but this kept killing the momentum for me. "I had to take over the clan" "I had to take over the clan" "You had to take over the clan"...

(or maybe it's the philosophy quotes, they often come off a little awkward even in the best of shows)
