This is by far one of the most powerful episodes of the show. Anne's family's situation was at its worst in this episode... The number of scenes that I cried during in this episode is unbelievable. What really killed me was that scene where Noah started walking towards Anne. I don't know why, but that scene had me bawling the most. By the end of the episode though, I'd stopped crying and was smiling out of sheer happiness again. It's amazing how this show manages to be so heartwarming at times, but so heart breaking at others. After seeing this episode, it's safe to say this is the slice of life genre at its finest.

Well of course it's different from moe slice of life since it's based on a western novel and it doesn't care for fluff. And yes, the strongest episode by far. Especially, her decision to stay with the family. Noah calling out her name, the brat kids team wailing and finally Lochinvar giving her nice snuggle completely fits the tone and reaffirms her decision.

In any case, Joanna is really strong. Pretty sure most would've broken by that. I do love Bert but not as much as the other cast in the series.

I don't know why people write that they are approachable persons,
if you were you wouldn't be on MAL.
