Why did he do it again?

-spoilers for those who didn't finish the entire series, including the movies-

God I loved this series. The ending of the last movie left me so depressed, I really hated it when he promised Saki and yet they never saw him again. That was just too sad. And you can kind of tell she knows she'll never see him again, too. :/ Geezus.

Anyways, why did Tak erase his memories for the second time? I don't understand... I know he erased them for the first time, but during episode 11 why did he do it?
