I've only heard of two ideas. One would be the "Timeline Roadtrip of Anime" and the other is a literal "Anime Roadtrip".
Personally, I don't like the idea of a "Timeline Roadtrip of Anime" at all. First of all, the anime timeline isn't that neat and pretty. Like our lovely Yume here has pointed out (hahaha), an anime timeline is really uneven and would not look visually appealing. There would be a couple of time periods where only one character would be standing by himself. You can't really do anything roadtrip themed with a character standing by himself. Then when you get to the present time period, there would be way too many characters jumbled in that one spot. I think that would just look messy. Finally, the timeline idea has been recently used. Last year there was student council's scary movie timeline and the drill team's dancing through the ages timeline. If we do a timeline as well, the idea just doesn't look fresh, and I think we all want to win the contest in hall decorating (even if it's just a slight want). Therefore, let's not do the same thing as the clubs last year. All of these points combined just make me really not for the timeline idea.
The other idea of a literal "Anime Roadtrip", on the other hand, is something we could really have fun with and be creative. We could have anime characters riding past notable landmarks in stuffed, packed cars with some leaning out the window to take pictures, others all annoyed and uncomfortable being shoved against the window. Other characters could be doing other fun tourist activities. Some of the characters who like to eat could be eating pizza and hot dogs or why not all that fried galore at the state fair. Picture Luffy using his rubber powers and propelling himself on top of the Statue of Liberty or Totoro marching around with an American flag (way too cute with Pikachu following behind him). Somebody could be bungee jumping or some characters could be looking down the Grand Canyon all stunned or scared of heights maybe? There's a lot of things we could do with this. This idea doesn't have any limitations either, so I think it would be best.
Of course, we'll have to let other members of the club voice their opinion on ideas as well. We should ask them for ideas this week, mentioning the two we have right now and the pros and cons of each. Also, if we want to be successful with this whole hall decorating, we shouldn't say, "If you can come, please come." Yeah, that's polite and all, but we actually need people. We have to stress that this is important not something that's just a fun activity to do in some optional free time. I think we should tell our members, "We really need as many artists and people willing to help as possible to be successful with the hall decorations, so please come unless it is not possible for you because of your schedule."
This is just what I personally think. What about everyone else? |
