| Nio goes and grabs himself another cup of coffee, sitting back down by Adaia on the sofa. He shrugs, not wanting to think more into Kahmu's tale for fear of losing more faith in the human race. He turns his attention back to Adaia, managing a somewhat strained smile, speaking in a low voice as to not wake Kahmu. "Anyway. What are you up to for today?" |

| Adaia looks up from petting Pluto. "Not entirely sure. I haven't seen many instructors around here, so I guess no classes for the day." She smiles at the thought, then gets up to rummage through the cupboards for a snack and finds a bag of potato chips. She walks back to the couch and sits in her original seat next to Pluto. "What about yourself?" |

| Nioniel flexes his toes, effectively wiggling the slippers he has on. "Yeah, the classes don't start for a few more days, it's asinine to think all the students can get settled into their rooms while classes are constantly trying to go on. So most instructors generally take their time arriving on campus, since most don't permanently live here year-round." He thought deepy for a moment on her question, pursing his lips lightly. "I hadn't thought about that. I kind of figured I'd just laze around with just my robe on all day." It hadn't quite dawned upon Nioniel that just a robe and boxers wasn't the greatest attire to wear around the common room. |

| Adaia smiled, "Well, school is turning out better than I expected. Just relaxing and walking around a huge campus all day? Sounds good to me." She chuckles. |

| Nio smiled at this concept. "That would be pretty relaxing, I admit. What would we do with ourselves after a month though?" He chuckles as he glances at Pluto. "Pluto might get fat from too much lazing around." |

| She laughs at the thought of Pluto getting fat. "No, Pluto spends enough time away from me running about outside. Besides, he feeds himself. He has to exercise to get a meal, so it kinda evens out." Adaia pets the cat softly on his tummy with just the tips of her fingers, imagining the belly being a lot bigger, so she laughs softly to herself. |

| Nioniel laughs along with her for a brief period, a smirk remaining on his face afterward. "It's good to know he stays fit, then. I couldn't imagine a dapper fellow like him getting any pudge." |

| "Neither could I." She continues softly rubbing the cat's belly with one hand, and eating her chips with the other. "So you used to have a cat, right?" |

| He nods, smiling at Adaia's inquisitiveness. "I still do, I don't bring her with me though. She's getting old, so taking her around places is harder to do now, she gets cranky. Her name is Basina." Nioniel takes another sip of his coffee, smiling warmly at the wakeful sensation he experiences. |

| "Awe, you must really miss her." Adaia looks at Pluto, imagining what it would be like not seeing him for even a couple weeks, making her heart feel like it's dropped into her stomach. "Well, if you ever want, you could play with this little guy whenever you like if he's around." She smiles up at Nioniel. |

| His expression becomes slightly crestfallen. "Yeah, she's a good cat. Sleeps by me every night, digs her claws into my stomach every morning." He chuckles at the memories of Basina, rubbing his own stomach after thinking about how he got woken up on a daily basis. "I appreciate it, I'll be sure to spend some time with him, he'll help me cope with my separation anxiety, huh Pluto?" He smiles at the cat and then at Adaia, taking another sip of his coffee as he does. |

| Adaia smiles back, "I'm sure he'd appreciate the quality time with someone other than myself." She goes back to snacking on her chips while Pluto crawls onto her lap, apaprently enjoying the sound of the crunching of the chips. |

| Nioniel nudges her lightly as he takes another sip of his coffee. "I'm not so sure, quality time with you seems to be of pretty high quality." He noted matter-of-factly, the aroma of the hazelnut coffee blend he was drinking slowly wafting through the rest of the room. His coffee was strong. |

| Her eyes shy away as she blushes softly at his comment. Adaia puts the snacks down on the floor by the couch. "Why, thank you. That's very kind of you to say." She looks up at Nioniel as her lips curve into a soft smile. |

| Nioniel notices her reaction, suddenly feeling a bit sheepish about his bluntness. He decides to focus his attention toward his sunshine coffee mug, letting a shy smirk slip over his features as his head is lowered, as well as a light blush. "Y-you're welcome..." As if his coffee were an elixir of good luck, he took a determined, longer sip that usual, licking his lips afterward. |

| Adaia smiles at his answer then looks down at Pluto resting softly on her lap still and begins petting him all along his back down to his tail. "So, why do you have a sun on your mug? It's a little ironic, considering how you look when you get up." She laughs quietly. |

| He chuckles lightly. Rubbing a finger nostalgically over the mug. "You mostly answered your own question there, I find irony to be quite a funny thing. Although, how I got the mug is a different story. It was a gift from my mother, since she had a similar taste in humor as me." He suddenly looks a bit aghast at her. "Heeey... I don't look that bad when I wake up, do I?" |

| She giggles, "I don't know if I should really answer that. I was told by a human once that if I don't have anything nice to say, I shouldn't say anything at all." Adaia purses her lips with a motion like she zipped them up then smiles happily at Nio. |

| Nioniel looks almost aghast. "Don't tell me you take advice from them. They're so hypersensitive, and snobby. I prefer honesty over being coy." He crosses his arms after setting his mug down, making a pouting face at the indignity of it all. "Although that seems to also indicate that I look pretty bad when I wake up, hm?" His hair is still quite a mess, if Adaia didn't know better she would probably guess he had a 'guest' over last night... Other than the cat. |

| "Who said anything about being coy? I'm just being polite. But if you must know: yes, you look just as Aiok said. Like the walking dead." She laughs at the pouty look on his face. "But it's okay, that look suits you well. What with the messy hair and silly face." Adaia smiles a friendly grin at him. |

| He wrinkles his nose huffily. "Polite schmolite. I suppose I should be raised from the dead if I ever do perish. That way I'm better suited to my appearance." He snorts slightly as he takes a sip of his coffee after picking up the mug gently from the table. "I'm glad you think it suits me though... Hey, wait, my face is silly?" He looks as if he's being struck with continual emotional blows through this entire conversation. |

| She giggles at all his reactions then pats him lightly on the top of his head, where his hair is messiest, trying to cheer him up. "There, there. I'm just giving you a hard time. No need to get all worked up. And it's not your actual face that's silly; just the pouty face you were making." |

| He grumbles as she explains herself, taking another drought of his coffee. "I see, It's just when I'm goofy hm?" He does his best to not look too huffy about this divulging of information. Gazing intently at his coffee cup instead. "I'd wager you don't look perfectly picturesque the moment you sit up out of bed either missy." |

| She crosses her arm argumentatively. "Well, I'm not going to honor that question with an answer. The only one who would know the answer is Pluto and he can't even speak so HA!" She grins victoriously. "Besides, I like ti when you're goofy. It's pretty funny to see." She chuckles. |

| He squints at her critically, gauging her reaction. "Hmm... One of these days, I'll get Pluto to tell me. If I'm right, the Law of Opposing Proportions will hold fast. Science demands that my hypothesis is accurate." He nods his sagely at his own speech, seemingly satisfied with his determination... Strictly for science. "I'm glad you find my antics funny, at least." He mumbles, a little less than enthused. |

| She wonders how he could ever get a cat to speak. She turns her head in disagreement with his statement. "Hmph! You'll never find out." Adaia then turns to him, "Awe, don't be so grumpy. Try and look a little more like your mug." She smiles. |

| He grins devilishly, forgiving his racial irony of that expression, at her disbelief. "Oh there are ways.... Many ways." He wrinkles his nose distastefully. "Being bright and sunshine-y every morning is a little hard. Although it may be a bit easier if I keep waking up to Elven women calling me 'sleepyhead' as I grumble and grab my life-juice-- er, coffee." He smirks teasingly after his last remark, taking another long swig of his coffee, the mug now being empty. |

| Her eyebrow quirks at the mention of many ways. "Hmm.. I wonder what you're planning. I'll just have to keep my guard up better around you I suppose." She pulls off a half smirk. "And that won't be a problem considering we're in the same dormitory. And maybe if Pluto sleeps beside you more often, you won't look nearly as bad." She pets her cat on the top of his head as he purrs softly on her lap. |

| He looks skeptical on her idea of letting Pluto sleep with him. "That's debatable, I don't think Pluto is elven, or a woman. So I don't know if that works. If anything I may look worse." He twirls a lock of his hair ina finger idly as he thinks, turning his mug in a similar manner as it rests on the table. |

| She laughs softly. "He may not be elven or a female, but he's definitely a good snuggler." |

| He taps his chin thoughtfully at this statement. "Hmm... Case in point. He's a good snuggler." After a few seconds of silence, Nioniel pipes up, looking as if he'd forgotten something. "A-ah... I've been so caught up with talking I forgot that I haven't showered yet. I sure get a late start on my days, don't I..." He looks over to Adaia hopefully. "I hope you'll pardon my leaving your company? I'm not partial to spending my day unshowered with another elf and a cat." |

| "But of course. Enjoy your shower." She chuckles softly. Adaia then returns to eating the chips, picks up the book from earlier and continues where she left off. |

| He brings his mug along with him, patting Adaia on the head lightly once, and giving Pluto a soft petting around his ears before walking off to his room's adjoined bathroom. "I always do.
