I had a tough time choosing between Lupe's Food and Liquor and The Cool, but ultimately went with The Cool. If you can listen to a whole album multiple times without skipping a track, then it's solid.

As for ATCQ, Low End Theory is definitely regarded as their best album, but there's just something about Midnight Marauders.

Also,

Elmatic - Preface was hot, but Elzhi slaughtered every track on El
Live From Tape Deck - Skyzoo
TSOL - Shad

@panda_box All Eyez On Me is already on the list as is illmatic. Check the list before suggesting things.

Also radical? really? Please let me hear an argument for adding that one haha.

Radical's like a 3.5, same with OF Tape Vol. 2

Kendrick Lamar - Section.80
Logic - Young Sinatra
Black Moon - Enta Da Stage
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
The D.O.C. - No One Can Do It Better
Cunninlynguists - Will Rap For Food
People Under The Stairs - Question In The Form Of An Answer
Fort Minor - The Rising Tied
Busta Rhymes - The Coming

Maybe because I grew up with it, I honestly thought that DMX's "It's Dark & Hell Is Hot" was better than " And Then There Was X"
@Goosey, I felt Food & Liquor a lot more than The Cool due to the first half of The Cool feeling more like a hip-pop album then deciding to get into the real grittiness in the second half as opposed to Food & Liquor being just straight hit after hit with only 1 or 2 moments of relief.

I don't know if this fits here, but Portishead's Dummy album is so great, classic trip-hop.

@Renzo, it's classic trip-hop, a genre that really didn't get it's roots until the mid 90's so of course Portishead's Dummy is going to seem amazing as a pioneering album but once again, that's as a pioneering album. At that DJ Shadow's Endtroducing beats the living hell out of almost every trip-hop album made to date in my opinion.

@Gray, I want you to make sure you chose By The Throat because of it's lyrical ability & production & not just because it's the last you'll ever hear of Eyedea.

By The Throat was and still is one of my favorite albums of all time. I liked it even before he passed. Couple of his songs helped me get through some stuff.

Speaking of Eyedea. Back in like 2010 I got really hip on E&A and I ended up seeing him live in Stl, Chicago and Minnesota. Got to sit and talk with him each time I saw him. Guy was extremely down to earth and just brilliant. Looking back you could definitely tell that he was on some shit though. What made it extremely hard for me is the day he died I was coming back from Chicago after seeing Gorillaz live and I bumped E&A the entire way back. Get home to find out he passed away. Quite possibly the only artist I legitimately felt disturbed by his death. Shit hit hard for me.

Also a couple of albums I can listen to front to back.

SBTRKT - SBTRKT
Purity Ring - Shrines
Richie Cunning - Night Train
Big Krit - Return of 4eva
Kendrick Lamar - Section 80

I could list of prolly 100 albums but those were just a few off the top of the head.
