| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- This is a very action-packed and information-loaded chapter. Sera and Ako continue their race to see who can gain the most points. It's obvious that Sera is winning in point-gain, but Ako barely hangs on to second place. We learn that Kei Arakawa is a second-year and was one of the three best first-years at the 70th Inter High along with Koromo Amae and Komaki Jindai. People are also starting to notice Saki as one of the strongest first-years in the 71st Inter High, perhaps on par with Shiraitodai's Awai. Current score as of the third south hand in the second hanchan Takami Shibuya (Shiraitodai): 144,100 (−43,300) Ako Atarashi (Achiga): 110,900 (+11,600) Sera Eguchi (Senriyama): 103,500 (+53,000) Hitomi Ezaki (Shindouji): 41,500 (−21,300) Takami looks poised to win the last hand with a daisangen (big three dragons). However, for some reason Hitomi is not doing anything big. Considering the ordering Shindouji's lineup, she is supposed to be stronger than Yoshiko who went before her. |
| What a scary hand that Takami has. I'm guessing that it will be like Hatsumi's Yakuman where she'll tsumo and Ako will pay the lion's share. Though, re-reading it, it seems that Sera will have to pay the lion's share. She's the last dealer. Also, Hitomi is a funny girl. "It's all the government's fault" lol. I think Hitomi didn't managed to win much because it was pretty much Sera and Ako dominating the table. Just like how Izumi couldn't win when Sumire, Yoshiko and Yuu were dominating it. |

| A pretty good chapter, I really want her to complete her daisangen (Or a tsuiisou daisangen?). Is kinda unlikely for Ako to deal into Shibuya's hand because she nows what is she aiming for. Play defensively and let others to deal into her hand (?) Whenever I take a look into the score I remember Teru, even if Shiraitodai is losing points the gap is still kinda big. At this pace Shindouji will go under 0 before the captain match, sigh... P.S: Awai is cute! |
| This chapter was great! Ako is great! Sera is great! Thuis is probably one of the funniest serious mahjong game in Saki so far. Ako not wanting to win yet winning anyways, wanting to win but then not being able to...hilarious. Also it seems like Saki vs Awai is being hyped up already, Saki vs Teru will be for the individuals calling it. |
| Saki versus Awai sounds like a very nice match indeed even tho the press is mainly seem focusing on Nodoka the pro players have placed there bets on Awai and Saki. And the schools are looking at those two as well Shizuno will have a very hard battle coming up for her. I have to say that it was nice to see Izumi being crushed like that with her arrogance of thinking she was the best first year and that even her own teammate had to correct her at that . About Ako she was rushing so much that she seemed to have lost focus on Sera and and Shindouji which was very costly. The question is will she be able to stop Shiraitodai from making the final move. |

| Triple yakuman... :D Yes please! Suuankou, daisangen, tsuuiisou! I still have hopes for multiple no double stacked yakuman rules aka tenhou. Go go go Takamin!!! Also, its possible that Shiraitodai hasn't show their all, Sumire said so. ... Except Awai maybe, since Funaq noticed her and Saki as best first years. :D Oh and you can't blame Sheep (Hitomi) : "Its all the government's fault!" XD P.s Regarding of Takamin's ability... Hopefully no one feed the hatsu, and no riichi. Which is unlikely for Ako, but still possible... Anyways, I've speculated something on her ability- I suspect its more than just I got Them all tiles back, its more than that? And then there's the delicious possibility of pao rules... :D So Takamin's game tactics (my speculation): 1. Throw honor tiles on first discard 2. Deals into cheap -dealer- hand (Ako get that points) on purpose. 3. Making dealer (or anyone - DAT adorable expression!) do chombo (really Ako!?) 4. Tenpai - no ten. 5. Abortive draws. 6. There's also this possibility of her using dealer's first discard (not enough info) 7. Her ability made dealers reach tenpai faster. 8. Remember when Ako Tsumo for 1k all? I wonder if its similar to that time where Koromo made Kana discard that tiles that made Kazekoshi confused (that man tiles and wait) - so instead of doing that, she made the opponent open their hand or declare a win (if they open their hand and not declare win, it chombo and repeat) :D ... What do you guys think? Also, since Cela is last dealer, she'll lost at least 16k from Yakuman tsumo... P.p.s: Also, I know I'm not the only one pissed that Funaq didn't mention of Nelly.. The freaking World Junior Champion!! Also a 1st year!! |
