Alright. Everyone remembers that fateful moment where Seishirou dies and does the dramatic slow-motion fall-forward. However, just what did he whisper in poor little Subaru's ear when he did as such? This is a thread where we can discuss it and give our opinions on it.

here is quote ive found @ http://www.sakurazuka-mori.net/x1999.php?lastwords

One of the greatest mysteries of X/1999, indeed all of CLAMP's works, is the mysterious last words of Seishirou as he lay dying in Subaru's arms. Of course, this has been speculated upon, and SeixSu shippers just go wild with the possibilities of what Seishirou could have said to him.

So what was it that Seishirou said, or rather, started to say?
In the Anime: "Boku wa, anata wo..." (kimi wo...anata wa)
In the Manga: "Boku wa kimi wo..."(kimi wo...boku wa)
Okay, okay, enough with the Japanese, what the hell does this mean in English!? Well, it translates into "Because I... you."
Could the missing word of that sentence have, perchance, been aishiteiru?
After all, Seishirou's dying words are very reminiscent of Subaru's "Boku wa kimi ga... sukidattan desu" of Tokyo Babylon 7, which translates into the past tense (obvious, the man just tried to kill him!) "Because I loved you."

>.< seishirou really loved him no matter what.
btw the end of tokyo babylon manga was soooo very sad :SS since it was the beginning of subarus loneliness *sniff*

In my opinion, he totally said that he loved him. Oh god, poor Subaru. And poor Sei as well, because he couldn't hear Subaru say the same to him. ;-;

It is a beautiful scene even though it's so tragic and Subaru looks so broken.

At first, I didn't have a clue because I had never heard of Tokyo Babylon at the time & I didn't really feel sad, just confused & I didn't read the subtitles either properly or something which didn't help.

After reading some comments & stuff, people were saying "it's likely he said "I love you" so after thinking about it myself & thinking back to the beginning of ep 16 with Setsuka (which at the time I don't think I was concentrating on this either enough. God what was I doing!? Had my eyes closed!?)

Even now & still question it & I look through all the things that were said & done with Seishirou but I believe he did say it.

My other question is why? Subaru became very bitter as an adult, but still cute. Aww. ^-^ Maybe it turned him on! LOL!

Yes, I do believe Sei-chan did let out the words "I LOVE you" to Subaru right before his death. That's the most logical answer to it, I'd say.

Oh poor poor Sei-chan and Subaru-kun. T__T

Oh yeah, I agree that it is the most logical answer. The look on Subaru's face after Seishirou said those words I think proves the answer.

There's no reason to think Seishirou didn't say he loved Subaru. Why would Subaru have reacted the way he did if Seishirou didn't say those 3 important words?

Didn't Seishirou's mother, at the moment of her death, make a prophesy that her son would also be killed by the one "he loved most", in the same way that she was killed by Seishirou, by the one "she loved most"?

Yes she did. Setsuka had pretty good insight!

I think it's obvious Seishirou did love Subaru, the question is if he said those words in his dying moments.

Ugh, Subaru did say that Seishirou never say the words that Subaru expects him to, didn't he? Subaru was not expecting the 'I love you', was he? I mean he told Kamui that he felt Seishirou did not look at him at all, so it is only logical that he wasn't expecting those words. So, my vote is 'yes'.

Logic aside, I'd be heartbroken if he didn't. My poor Subaru :(

I think Subaru's actions after Seishirou died pretty much prove that Seishirou told him that he loved him. Subaru fled from the rest of the DoH and willingly accepted Seishirou's eye from Fuuma. And the way he hugged the container to his chest was just heartbreaking.

Is it me, or the Anime, the way Seishiro pronounce the mysterious words seems to be "I hate you"? o.o I mean, look at the way his mouth moves and pronounce the words. It doesn't seem to be "Aishiteru" or "Sukida" since I tried saying the words by following the timing. But it seemed to me he's saying "Daikiraida" / "I hate you" instead.

But even if he says "I hate you", it's still pretty obvious Seishiro loves Subaru anyway. 8D I follow the Manga, not the Anime and I believe he said I love you in Manga =w=

^ Uh, could that be Seishirou's twisted sense of humour?
