I just finished the series and I honestly can't decide if I like it or not.

The ending was okay I guess. If I'm not mistaken we are led to believe that the last battle ended in a draw and both Abel and Cain fled the battle field. Now, Abel is supposed to chase down Cain until until the ends of the earth... I really don't know if I like it or not.

Anyways, what ever happened to that little witch girl in the beginning? Also, whats up with Abels bad ass armor in the end, is he part of the inquisitorial squad now? baa.. i have more questions after i finished it than answers..

I'm fairly sure the armor is

as mentioned sometime earlier in the series. He did not join the Inquisitorial Squad at all, as

I'm not sure which witch girl you are talking about, though.

Personally, I severely disliked the ending of Trinity Blood. It seemed like the characters were just not progressing at all throughout the whole story, and then suddenly on the last 1-2 episodes they decided to flip everything into a complete, illogical fairy-tale ending.

There wasn't even a minimum of resolution to the series, which was pretty frustrating. If they had started the series where it ended, it would have been a much better storyline overall.

Well, I prefer Hellsing and Trigun. If you have seen those, the similarities becomes glaringly obvious...

But there is a manga for Trinity Blood as well, and I am positive it contains more answers than the anime.

its one the first episodes where that girl who touches peoples makes them go nuts.. she randomly dissapeared after that... i just doesn't make sense to introduce a character with a unique power and a really depressing background and then just wipe her off the scene completely.

anways, i totally agree with what you saying. that black vile that brought ablel back to life.. i was like WTF that makes NO sense... she mentioned how she was saving it for someone else and then she gives the entire vile to abel..

so many things wrong with this series.

I've decided. This anime = poo

I got bored with it and dropped it about mid way through the series. It had a lot of interesting ideas and the animation was very good, but the story didn't seem to be going anywhere. imo, there are plenty better shows out there to watch.

Well unfortunately the author of the series decided to die due to something like lung blockage, so the story was left incomplete, hence the terrible open ending.

Wrong choice of words. No one decides to die, unless he suicided. Which he didn't. And there is a lot of novel material that the anime didn't cover. That and the novel has been continued by a close friend of the original author.

i could be mistaken but i do believe he didn't literally mean that the author "decided to die" . . . i think he was just exagerating. lol.

i do have a few questions since i didn't read the manga, and you do sound like you read it

How did Abel come back to life from that black veil?

How did people from the "mars project" gain super human powers?

Last but not least, why did Cain leave that spaceship they were living in in the first place?

:)

You forget one important question. How did vampires suddenly appear on earth? The answer is on Wikipedia.

You have to read the novels for that... :)

The novels is divided into two series: one series for events happening in the near future (2080ish) with humankind's first attempt to colonize outer space and the other series happening in the FAR future (3100ish) where the anime series is focused on. The main problem with people complaining that this is a rip-off from Trigun is that they haven't read the original novels, which are more science-fiction and much more diverse and original. And yes, everything is explaining nicely in the novels, but not in the anime....

Trinity Blood focuses mainly on the historical, technological and religious settings more than the characters. But that's what I liked about this series and it remains in my top choices.

And believe me, Abel has good reasons not wanting to kill. He has lived more than a thousand years after all....

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.
