What got you interested in Kou's manga?
| My first manga by her was probably Doushitemo Furetakunai, but I didn't actually start specifically looking for her manga until Tadayoedo Shizumazu, Saredo Naki mo Sezu. I don't usually pay much attention to mangakas. I just read a manga, then move on. So when I found Tadayoedo Shizumazu, Saredo Naki mo Sezu, I didn't figure that it was by the same person who wrote Doushitemo Furetakunai. But when I had finished all that was available for her Yashiro series, I started looking into her other stuff. |

Doushitemo Furetakunai!!!! Lucky enough (for me) to be the first I read! From then I fell in love and I looked up as much by her as I could find! xD |

I had already read a fair share of yaoi but when I turned to Doushitemo Furetakunai, it was the art I fell in love with before the story. I actually thought the story was only so-so and nothing particularly noteworthy. Now I appreciate her story-telling just as much as the art, and Doushitemo Furetakunai is one of my favorites. I've re-read it several times. |

| I actually felt the exact same way when I saw the cover art for Doushitemo Furetakunai. A friend recommended it to me, but the art didn't seem to match my taste, so I basically ignored it. Then, I came across Ore ni Koi Shite Dousunda somehow, read that, fell in love with it AND the art, wanted more, and finally read Doushitemo Furetakunai, cried my eyes out, and have never been the same since... |

I read Doushitemo Furetakunai right after I finished watching Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and reading a few other office-type romances, so the story didn't originally wow me, but I liked it enough to recommend it to people and reread it myself. I think one of the reasons why newborn yaoi fans may not like it at first is because of how realistic it is. I mean, most people, nowadays, are introduced to BL by either JR, SH, or Gravitation. While those titles are cute, entertaining, and hilarious, they're nowhere near accurate of how most couples operate in real life. So, you grow accustomed to the bubbly, exaggerated world of BL when suddenly a surreal, mature, quiet romance with subtle and gradual developments comes along. It's obvious to you that you're reading quality, but you were expecting (as well as desiring) something more fun and shoujo - y. So, you read it (or not) and move on. But, as you progress deeper into the genre, you become tired of the I-rape-because-I-care, doe-eyed uke, constantly - chibified themes. You long for a story that feels real, something that yanks your emotions back and forth, and leaves you with a calm, satisfied feeling, as opposed to the "That was fun! Now, what should I read next?" thought. Once you're ready to move on from the ridiculous tropes of yaoi, that's when you're going to love Kou. |

| I read Doushitemo Furetakunai first, which I adore of course. However, I really didn't become a hardcore fan until I the discovered sensei's KHR! dj's. Her 8018's are to-die-for!! She is a genius. Creates beautiful and impactful work like no other mangaka I've encounter thus far. |

Doushitemo Furetakunai had me at hello, but I have to say when I discovered her KRH DJs, which just so happen to mostly consist of my fav KRH pairing! It was a match made in heaven! *3* ♥ |

| I love the *art* of her KHR djs (of course) and the dynamics between the characters, but I haven't really seen or read KHR, so I kind of feel at a loss when reading them. Which doesn't stop me from having Yoneda KHR pics as backgrounds for my laptop and mp3-player. |
| My first manga from Yoneda-sensei was Tadayoedo Shizumazu, Saredo Naki mo Sezu back in 2009, I was really surprised to read such a realistic, grim yaoi, being only used to reading the crappy "girly-uke staff" that didn't resonated well with me. Her works made me view yaoi more seriously. I love her and her talent of story-telling. I read all her published works, plus some Katekyo and Naruto doujinshis, I plan on reading her Fate/zero doujinhi since I just found out looking at the member cards. Definitely one of my favorite yaoi mangaka~ |
