Claudius stared at the blank paper, pen in hand. He had been sitting there since the dawn of morning, wondering how to report it to the queen. Finally he scribbled down a few words: Murderer has been killed. Case has been closed. Sincerely, Claudius Holmes

Victoria lay in the bedroom that Claudius had given to her to live in. She stated at the ceiling, her head spinning. Sebastian's words before she had gone to fight rang in her ears, and Morgan's words to her after the battle drifted through her mind. Her head was over loaded with all these memories.

Claudius slowly tucked the letter into the envelope and sealed it shut. The funeral had been planned. Everyone that had respected his uncle would show up and he would be talked about as a victim to Jack the Ripper's imitator, he just hadn't been able to go as far as the others. Claudius went to Victoria's room and knocked on the door, letter in hand.

Claudius didn't say anything for awhile. He stared out the window and instead of answering to what Victoria had just said, he whispered, "Remember our contract, Victoria?"

Claudius smiled sadly, "Victoria...you need to learn how to toughen up. You'll take my soul one day. Once I find out who had killed my parents and who had set up the circus...You don't want me to die while I'm still worried." He sighed and turned to Victoria with the smallest possible smile, "Prepare the carriage. Let's go visit this "Ghost Town"..." Claudius walked past Victoria smoothly.

During the ride, Victoria sat inside the carriage with Claudius, because they had hired another coachman. Claudius didn't look at Victoria once, he was looking out the window and watching the landscape go by.

The ride was long. Soon after it had started, Claudius started to doze off...

He was in the garden. It was starting to get dark and strangely enough no one was coming out to get him. Claudius looked around to find himself surrounded by rose bushes. He was in the rose maze. He heard a rustle behind him and he saw a large shadow looming over him. The scene faded in to darkness...He was on the hill, that lead to his family's mansion. Victoria was standing next to him, a shocked look on her face. In front of them, the mansion was burning down. Everyone inside was burning...

Claudius woke up in a cold sweat. His hand traveled to the necklace and he opened it. A picture of his mother and father was in it and himself as a baby. He was trying to keep his breathing even.

Claudius stood up, nearly falling over when they hit a bump, and sat down next to Victoria. He looked at her in the eyes, "Victoria. What's wrong? You aren't acting like yourself, since Jefferson died. Actually, you haven't been acting like yourself since Jefferson came over. Are you okay?" Claudius furrowed his brow.

Victoria nodded "I just hate all of this...I don't wasn't to see more suffering in this world..we don't need anymore suffering...even though I'm not human and I'm just some demon but...I still hate to see humans suffer..." she stared at the sky "I had a feeling it might be your uncle when Sebastian talked to me the morning before...imitator's tend to try to do the same thing and the one they're imitating..."

Before Claudius could answer the carriage stopped abruptly. They got out and to their shock, to Claudius's dismay, they were really in a ghost town. Claudius reached into his jacket and tugged out the envelope with the information and opened it. "Victoria...do you believe in ghosts?"

Claudius chuckled. He tucked the envelope inside his pocket and started to walk. "We'll be staying at an old mansion own by Lord Thomson. He's considered quite a loon because he claims that his mansion is haunted, as is the village he lives in. No one has believed him until recently. The villagers have been picked up one by one and no one knows what has happened to them. Her Majesty is going out of her mind. We're to recover the villagers, alive or dead. Oh and also...if you find any ghosts at Lord Thomson's place feel free to say so. This is what you'd call...a paranormal case."

As they walked down the deserted streets, Claudius added, "I'm sure they aren't angels really. Lord Thomson is probably confusing them with Reapers or ghosts or even demons." he shrugged as they stopped in front of the only occupied building in the whole village. He looked over at Victoria, gesturing for her to knock first.

Lord Thomson was a mess. His gray hair stood in all directions, there were buttons missing from his shirt and Claudius had to resist the urge to cover Victoria's eyes because of some nakedness. Instead, Claudius bowed, "Lord Thomson, is it? How are you today?"

Lord Thomson grabbed Claudius's arm and Victoria's arm, "Hurry and come in before they get in!!" Claudius stumbled in along with Victoria. The mansion was nice enough, but it looked old and dusty. Claudius was having a hard time seeing, but he regretted it when Thomson lit a candle and shoved it in Claudius's hand.

They sat down in Thomson's room, which was really messy. The curtains were ripped, the bed sheets were thrown on the floor, pillows blocked the doorway and there were locks hanging everywhere. Thomson sat next to the fireplace, which cast an eerie glow across his old face. Claudius stood at the door. Thomson looked up at them with wide and wild eyes, "Come on in! Remember to lock the door too..." Claudius took a step in and so did Victoria. The door slammed shut behind them with a bang

Thomson didn't answer. He stood up and finally said, "I have other guests...I didn't mean to invite them, they just came in...Last week another group came, but they were much more civilized...they searched the whole mansion and couldn't find anything. There has been a legend going around. A man had killed everyone in this village and he survived and made it anew. When he died...he came back and every hundred years he would kill ll the villagers. He lived in this very mansion..."

There was a knock on the door and it swung open with the person on the other side still having his hand in a fist. James stepped inside, with Morgan(hands in pockets). James was in his usual attire a suit, a navy blue tie, and leather dress shoes. His glasses looked different though, unlike the usual black they were a navy blue with silver colored bends. For some reason, James looked a bit older now. "Lord Thomson, we couldn't find anything."

Morgan decided to mock her "oh look what the cat dragged in! Oh wait, you are the cat!" he snickered at his stupid joke.
Victoria growled at him, that type of growl you'll only hear from a really angry cat.

James rolled his eyes at Morgan's childishness. Claudius grabbed Victoria's wrist, to keep her from jumping on him. Thomson was mumbling nervously to himself. "But i know he's here. He's watching me. He's watching me..."

James raised his eyebrow and straightened his glasses. He respected William and all, but he hated when people compared him to his senior. "Who's here?" James decided to ask instead of snapping at Morgan. "The ghost! They're all here..." Thomson said. Claudius looked at the old man sympathetically, "Sir, we're not going to get anywhere if you keep telling us the same thing."
