| I have to say, I watched the anime before reading the manga, and this is one of the few series where I have to say the Anime counterpart is better than the Manga, mostly for the fact that the Anime ends in a good place. |
| Only longer manga series where I'm not happy about it ending (not that I actually read shit like Bleach). But I only read the official English Del Rey/Kodansha USA releases so I've still got a while to go. And it had to happen, since Air Gear actually has a progressing story unlike other long series, even if Oh!Great seems to completely forget about some storylines. I also hope for a complete anime adaption, although I didn't watch the first one. And I'm looking forward to Oh!Great's next work. |

| Lol glad it will end soon. It pains me to see a great manga keep degrading chapter by chapter. It start out great, but after the whole "One can own a few roads/regalias" and the "implanted regalia into one's body" stuff, it became so damn ridiculous. Though I agree that the ovas were awesome, wish I could watch Kazu vs Nike animated version! For those who is up to date with the manga, could you please spoil me with some answer to my questions? | damn, that leaves me only about 60 chapters behind. I wonder how many more personalities they were able to shove into Agito within the last volumes lol Sure Air Gear's storyline has become more ridiculous than I was expecting. However, its unique energy combined with its detailed artwork makes it a really fun read. If only they could get the same director to do a 2nd anime season, id be happy. And of course it would also need some Skankfunk :] |

However, it's not really that the plot is inherently terrible. A lot of what makes me laugh at Air Gear is how when the mangaka is trying to make some deep point about "riding the wind" and the different "roads" and their significances it sounds like some glorified surfer movie where everyone is obsessed with catching that "killer wave" in their own way. That being said, I love Air Gear and prefer Ikki's personality to Naruto's and Ichigo's. Also, if you're at all offended by nudity, you're gonna have a rough time with Air Gear. It's got a metric shit ton of it. |
