 After the AMV Contest, AATR is going to make an Anime Songs Contest in the next weeks ^^ I've decide to pick 256 songs, so it's time to nominate them! I already have... uh... I still have to count them... but according to wakka9ca, we need another 30 songs to make 256. When nominating a song, please post it like the example: Song's Name - Artist (Anime) link to listen to it - preference for youtube videos Also, I need help to find some videos for some songs (the content doesn't matter, but the video must have the song) and the artists who sang some of them. | I did a recount the A-I currently have 133 the J-Z has 105 You still have to re-add Sousei no Aquarion (1) and maybe the two other songs I propesed (2) That makes a total of 241 So we are still missing 15..... |

| I'm not sure how many matches the first round should have... since we have 256 songs, I can make 64 matches with 4 songs (2 winners/match/daily) or 32 matches with 8 songs (4 winners/match/daily) or 64 matches with 4 songs (2 winners/ match but 2 matches/day)... which do you think it's better? |

| Be careful Marina because 8 songs/match may not work if not enough people are participating.... Think about this..... Everyone can only choose ONE songs among 8....This means if one songs is particularily good, it completely renders useless the other songs because not enough people will choose them.... Example: 100 people participate... 40 chooses song 1 30 chooses song 2 the 30 votes remaining distributed among the remaining SIX... Because so few votes for the remaining, statistical error is really high and the vote power are too widely distributed.... So solution: 2 SEPARATE matches of 4 songs per day, so each member has the right to choose TWO songs among 8, versus ONE among 8....That means TWICE as much voting power and the more votes and vote power we get, the more representative the contest is going to be..... Otherwise, each member choosing only 1 among 8 is too difficult a choice, especially when all the songs were "pre-chosen" already to be pretty decent.... I hope this is not too late..... |

| hmm....not too many...we can actually start the contest without them...and add them as we go...they are guest after all so it's okay if suddenly 2 extra ones show up in one round.....This is because we are waiting for some of the summer 2008 season full versions songs to come out.... Basically, the guests will be nearly all new summer 2008 songs or some good songs we forgot to add... |
