| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- No topic has been created for the last episode of PoT? Well, I guess that makes sense since nothing really feels over. The exciting tournaments are just about to begin, and besides, there's some OVAs out and that new show should be coming out pretty soon. The only real thing to talk about is how silly that last match was. I mean, what was that with ryoma running up the building or tezuka jumping across rocks? The series has always been ridiculous, but I sort of feel like this episode pushed it past the edge. Anyways, it was still a pretty fun series, I enjoyed it enough to watch the whole thing. My favorite part had to be the soundtrack. This earns a solid 6/10 for me. |

Ryoma running up the building and Tezuka jumping across the rocks were too damn ridiculous, and imo Ryoma couldn't win against Tezuka yet, but he won.. -.- |

| pretty lovable anime . i had a great time watching the anime haha. I tink the building and rocks are just a way of showing how hard they are trying , just like in kaiji lol. I do feel Ryoma shouldnt win Tezuka yet too . He should still be unable to beat Fuji imo. Kinda sad he did it just means he is the best in Seigaku? He should at least have a match finished with fuji first before challenging Tezuka =( |

| That was a weird last match with all of the effects. I wish it was more like the one against Fuji where the match actually looked more like tennis. |

| Just finished the entire main serie after 5 years LOL Last match was weird indeed, Tezuka x Fuji was waaay better, but that's ok. Let me see the OVAs now \o/ |
| ryoma crying at the end MY HEART what a great series though. I regret only getting into tenipuri in frickin 2014 but I'm really glad to have liked it so much. despite all the ridiculous "that's-not-how-tennis-works" moments, I really do believe that this series was well written. I love all the characters so much and I can't wait to spend another month marathoning all the OVAs, movies, specials, and of course the new tenipuri. I'll miss the amazing OST but I'm definitely looking forward to new soundtracks. I'm barely halfway through the entire series released so far, but thanks for the ride, prince of tennis :-) |

| What do I rate this as... I'm thinking a 7 because it was decent overall, with ups and downs, but there's a lot of flaws in this show as well as pacing issues. I'll write more later. Well, it's not like I expected much more of a sports anime that lasted 178 episodes... Yeah, my big issue was that it went too outside of the realism range. At least in Kuroko no Basuke, a lot of the moves can be done in real life. If you're looking for a more realistic but lengthy sports anime, I think Major fits the bill and the characters are much better too. I wanted to see more sports strategy (like One Outs for example) instead of "GO! PIKACHU! THUNDERBOLT! It's super effective!" "OKAY BULBASAUR VINE WHIP!" |
| It's crazy to think how much I hated Ryoma when I first started this series and now I love him so much and cried when he cried. I don't know what to rate this. There were so many boring episodes and I've never liked tennis but I really liked the characters. I'd like to give it a 5.5 but that's not possible. Should I round up or down? |

| guess just buried under feels of the whole series except this weird idiotic match: it's like:- Buchoooou!-Echizeeeeeen!* reminds me about naruto:Narutooo!-Sasuuukeee!XD) It was a mada-mada dane ending for such a good series, however we have been given a good setting for a series upcoming plot with so many cool, powerful characters ( Glad that I have OVAs, and new series ahead of me) |

| this episode was so emotional and when the first opening played T_T but that match tho xD I really loved this anime and I would give it 10/10. I don't understand how people gave it 6 or 5 or even below, I know that it's their opinion but still this anime is not that bad it deserves more than that. |

| Ryoma crying while thanking his senpais almost made me tear up as well :( Really emotional end to the series, although I had to laugh when it showed Ryoma playing and winning against Lleyton Hewitt at the end lol. These junior high schoolers are too OP xD |

| Fantastic ending to a great anime. Ryoma thanking everyone at the end really was the best way to finish this season. The start of the anime was nothing special but eventually learning about all the characters it became a lot better. I don't think we really needed 178 episodes, some matches were drawn out too. And don't get me started on all the a-holes tennis players bullying and harassing everyone ... why did there have to be so many ... Overall 8/10 |

| Not gonna lie the US Open storyline is actually bordering on offensive to me. Ryoma is 12! TWELVE YEARS OLD! and the US open is a major and we are meant to believe that Ryoma is competitive at this tournament against some of the very best GROWN ASS MEN pro's in Tennis, including a former world no.1 in Hewitt?! Give me a fucking break! Also as a result of all of this we are missing out on the one thing that was supposed to matter which is Nationals. Though even that seems to mainly be all the same old foes. Pretty sure there is more to Japan than just the participants of the Kanto tournament. I don't know how much of this stuff specifically follows the manga but I have to say that I really dislike this direction. The pacing and general progression is well off. --------------------- Anyway my overall feelings are still positive, I for the most part enjoyed the show but the filler and very unrealistic portrayal of Tennis do mean the most I feel comfortable scoring this show is 7/10. It is very rare for me personally to watch a show of this length without taking time away from it. In fact I'm pretty sure this is the longest show I've watched in a row like this. Took me 5-6 weeks overall and while the filler was trying I didn't get too bored to stop. Fuji is cool, Inui too. Kaido's stupid snake noise was annoying. Umm yeah guess it's on to the many, mercifully shorter, sequels. |
