Since the quote function no longer works, this is in response to grandy_UiD: Considering some people here have an imperfect grasp of English, it's not too surprising they might not recognize the phrase (which is actually in Greek anyway). A Deus ex Machina, "God in the Machine", is a derogatory term for any plot twist that comes out of nowhere. | So finally gotten around to actually watch this. Basically what I expected, pretty decent. That chick voicing Yuno actually did an okay job. I remember her being much more annyoing in the OVA? That meeting in the end was cool, already liked that in the manga. To be honest, I could barely remember most of the diary owners xD But this really made me want more. Next dozen or so episodes are gonna be awesome. Too bad I know how downhill it goes in the later half... |

| Pretty great start despite the pacing a bit fast for my taste. The atmosphere is like Deathnote and Steins;Gate combined. Interesting premise and the yandere <3. |

| All I can say is that right now I'm really feeling sorry for Amano. He basically has to worry about everyone trying to find out who he is and trying to kill him. Well at least he has Yuno by his side, right : ) Although he seems more scared of her than anything else, so will see. |

| I can tell this is going to be pretty interesting. At first I was very confused about what the hell was going on, but when the whole diary thing and the game was explained it all made sense. The only thing I'm still wondering is why his "fantasy world" came to life in the first place, but yeah; I guess that's anime for ya! xD I don't know why many people hate Yuno's voice so much though. I didn't really find anything annoying about it. She is a bit freaky though. I wonder why she is so hopelessly obsessed/in love with Yukiteru. I guess we'll find out! It's going to be a 26 episode series too! =D  And damn, that is one ecstatic look she got there! =3 |

Yuno said that she was going to protect him, but with the other diary owners wanting to hunt him down, it'll be interesting to see why she's gonna go breaking her neck for Amano. Maybe she really does like him. Then again, she could always have some kind of ulterior motive. Eagerly awaiting the next ep. |

| This looks a lot better than I expected. ...I really like Yuki's eyes. Pretty damn faithful to the source, not counting the intro scene. This is my favourite manga despite how trainwrecky it got - particularly in the last few chapters - so I am psyched. Minene only had one line in the meeting ;_; At least she had that random early appearance. |

| What's with the bitching about Yuno's voice? Sure it might not be the best, but i honestly think it's fitting and can't really imagine a better one for her atm. Well, nicely made episode, followed mango good iirc, and had a good feel to it. |

| I read the manga after watching the first episode and I'm already liking the direction of the anime over the manga. Hopefully nothing is rushed because this was a great opener.(Although I wish Yuki had a male voice actor). |

| I don't say this very often with anime, but.. THAT WAS MESSED UP! Yuno is INTENSE. She gives me a WICKED case of the chills! She has some issues, that require a LOT of tissues! Love this show so far, to death! (No pun inteneded) Great storyline (very unique and new), great characters, more so realistic! Everything was perfect! Yuno's seiyuu is perfect for her type of personality! PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE FIRST SCENE, THOUGH! IS THERE SOME SORT OF HINT IN THERE?! YUKII APPEARS TO BE DEAD, AND THE FOLLOWING SCENE HAS YUNO BEING CHOPPED UP! THIS IS GOING TO BE A REAL BAD ASS ANIME! >O |

All of the diaries have certain themes. Yuno writes everything that she sees happen to Yuki since she is a stalker. The thrid writes things about the murders he commits. Yuki seems to have the best advantage right now, since he writes everything that happens to himself and just things that he sees or notices in general. Since Yuno's diary is only about Yuki what would happen if he died? Would her diary stop at "Yuki died"? If it did, then it would put her a great disadvantage to have no future powers at all. Sticking with Yuki would be the best option whether she means to do it for this reason or not. |

| I smell Death Note potential written all over this anime! The only thing I disliked a little was the main character. Sorry, but I'm not into wimpy, weak kids who cry all the time. That's why I couldn't get into Reborn in the first place. I'm not saying he should be crazy strong and love killing people xD but yeesh, at least have a little backbone. Well - I think I'll stick with it for a few eps, and see if I'll either hate it or love it enough to continue. |
