| Please stop trying to adopt random people in the topic. If we know for a fact that this person is an orphan, not just "I've never seen their parents around" or anything like that. Nobody in Lucky Star is an orphan, Nobody in shugo chara is either. I don't think Haruhi has orphans either. I'm sorry but if they aren't orphans it defeats the purpose. |

| Sakurada Jun Sakurada Nori I noticed on your character list that the Sakurada kids from Rozen Maiden are listed as orphans. I would like to note that they are not orphans. Both their parents are working oversees for the purposes of the story, so they do have parents, they just never show up in the anime nor in the manga. |

| I'm kinda stuck on the technicality of the thing. Technically they aren't orphans. They weren't abandoned...parent's had to work oversees for a while. Children could have gone with them...but chose to remain at home to continue school or some other reason. Maintaining 2 households like that would be quite troublesome for the parents. As for Sohma Momiji he also isn't technically an orphan. His dad does love him...so it isn't as though he neglects him on purpose...just a busy man whom he does visit. He may not live with his father...but that's mostly part of the condition of being one of the 12 zodiac. I'd say an orphan is a character who has been abandoned or disowned by their parents to fend for themselves or if their parents have died...or in the case of some characters never had parents in the first place such as some alien and spirit characters. |

| i just changed my adoption twice 1) death the kidd is not an orphan T^T;; 2) ooRin got Czeslaw before me... now my claim is Kana Minami from Minami-Ke She should count because their father died after Chiaki was born, and the three minami sisters live together without their mother the reason why everyone isn't adopting an orphan is because there's another MAL adoption center where you can adopt anyone you want. This club was created after, I believe, so it's somewhat misleading lol |
| I just read that someone was adopting Ibuki Fuko from Clannad. I don't know if this character should be considered an orphan. It doesn't mention much about her parents from what I remember...but she does live with her adult sister who basically takes care of her younger sister even though she doesn't live with her parents for one reason or another. If the older sister were younger and not a full fledged responsible adult I wouldn't mention this but since she is getting married, has had a career even, and has acted as a motherly figure for her younger sister instead of just as her older sister...<shrugs>. Up to the officers of course but just my thoughts. |
